Chapter 16 - #16

#16

The atmosphere of the club was good. It would be a waste to give money to a figure who was stretching out saying that it was for foreigners only.

Under the colorful lights, a man and a woman were shaking and enjoying themselves. Some had beer in their hands, and others were holding hands to seduce a woman.

Ji-Soo couldn't come close to the barrel that was clinging to Ji-Hoon, but the eyes searching for her were everywhere.

The prey were everywhere, even though their eyes were sharp, as if they were hiding in the grass and looking for opportunities. The men glanced at Lee Ji-hoon, a strong competitor next to him, and soon decided to turn their eyes to find other prey.

The club's thump beat beat both of them in the heart.

However, he looked everywhere with sharp eyes.

It's a normal club...'

Lee Ji-hoon raised his senses, but there were many stimuli pouring from all sides. He stood in a corner with Ji-soo. I ordered a beer in moderation.

Ji-Soo didn't say anything particularly and was quietly looking around. Then, I suddenly thought that if I don't have any conversation like this, other people might suspect that it's a strange relationship.

"Say something."

Ji-Soo poked Ji-hoon, who was about to drink beer without saying anything. Ji-hoon was not a fool, so he noticed that it would look heterogeneous if he stayed silent like this.

However, he is not talented in such situations. Few people have lived a life as boring as Lee Ji-hoon. Lee usually doesn't drink alcohol well. Even if he drinks at most, he decomposes it into electricity once it enters his body, turning alcohol and other components into gases, discharging them, and absorbing only moisture.

In other words, it is no different from drinking a lot of water. It's not because he hates alcohol or is a waste of money. I do it out of fear that I may not be able to control my electrical abilities if I am drunk.

Anyway, his favorite hobbies were "coffee" and "listening to music alone."

"Well... Well... The new girl group song is good... That's about it."

But Ji-Soo must have heard the sound interesting.

"Do you listen to girl group songs, too? You always listened to classical music."

"I listen to classical music, too. I listen to 'Lim Yunchan' a lot these days."

"But you listen to girl group songs, too?"

"Of course. It's a trend these days. Even foreigners like it, so there's no way not to like it."

Jisoo nodded coolly.

"I don't think so, but... There's no reason why I don't like it. I also like "New Jeans" these days."

"Oh... That's good."

The two were surprisingly focused on the music story. Most of them have no taste for their music in high school. They just listen to popular music that their friends listen to.

Uniquely, Lee Ji-hoon used to listen to only classical music, but now he also listens to popular girl group music.

Ji-soo found that interesting while talking. While talking like that, I was surprised to hear that Lee Ji-hoon sometimes even listens to trot songs that middle-aged people listen to.

"What? Do you hear that?"

It was as strange as asking, 'Doesn't pineapple go well with pizza?' Young people are usually uninterested in or uninspired by such music.

"It's better than I thought. Listen."

Lee Ji-hoon spoke calmly as he took a sip of the bottle beer he was holding. Ji-soo was curious about why this friend was listening to such music, but decided not to ask any more. The more I ask, the more I feel like I'm questioning.

"Yes, yes, you will."

However, there was nothing I could do about the answer that felt sarcastic. I met him often, but it was a long time before I understood what was in Lee Ji-hoon's head. Well, it's hard to understand "Min-joon," who always watches animations in his room.

As the two were still together while talking about music, they seemed to be a couple whispering about each other from a distance.

It was around that time that the men and women, who were watching the gap, began to taste again.

As time went by, more people came into the club. I kept hearing "Korea is growing into a multi-ethnic country," but I didn't know there would be so many foreigners.

It felt like the air density was getting lower due to the influx of foreigners. The body and body collided and the beat became faster. People's hearts became louder, too. The DJ is busy selecting songs, shaking his head excitedly, perhaps because he is excited.

People on stage are also curled up to the music, but they are looking for a partner who can only touch their eyes.

Among those characters was a Korean American named James Park. With his uncomfortable fashion and his face just like that, he came all the way to Incheon with three of his gang.

"Hey, Incheon is also good. It's worse than Gangnam."

His first words, which he likes to compare every time he opens his mouth, was me. Now, I compare Incheon and Gangnam, but in Gangnam, I am far from LA in the United States, and James is busy comparing LA and Seoul.

I knew it because they were playing with each other, but James, this guy is spending so much that the woman got twisted. If it wasn't for that, they would have ignored James.

"Right? Southeast Asian friends here are nice. Unlike a Korean woman with a high nose..."

The man, who was trying to cheerfully criticize women, found James's gaze completely different. Others noticed James' gaze and tapped him on the shoulder.

"What's wrong? What did you see? Did you like someone? Did you fall in love at first sight?"

In a half-joking tone, they talked to James, but he narrowed his eyebrows to see if he had seen it again and again.

"The woman over there at the end."

The eyes of the three gang members were also moved along with the touch James pointed at. They could see who the "woman" was pointed at several times by Hemeida James.

"Wow! You're so stylish. You have good proportions. Your body shape is... (Sighs)…. Is that her?"

"James, this guy has good eyes."

Everyone giggled as they teased each other. Now that James has found a girl he likes, they were going to find a partner and have fun tonight.

James was still serious when they talked about whether there was a good woman. The gang finally realized that his unstretched face was unusual, so they asked James again.

"Why, don't you have courage?"

"You should try the one you used before. That medicine..."

A gang member who talked about "medicine" but lowered his voice carefully. The medicine worked well but it was illegal to anyone, so he was careful not to speak. However, no one heard it because it was buried in a loud beat.

"Oh, it's because of that guy next to me. That guy... That's great. It looks totally messy. The two of them are together, so the picture is alive."

He reluctantly admitted it. He glanced at James. James also had a good basic physical. He seemed fine on the surface, except for the rudeness and natural grit on his face. But the indisputable vulgarity that burst out when he opened his mouth made him see the level of human beings infinitely low.

"That's not it. Look, that woman... Isn't that "Han Jisoo" in Gangnam

"What?"

When James said that, the gang immediately put away the joke and looked at him. Then, I could see for sure. Han Ji-soo, who usually dresses roughly and puts in drug offenders, was dressed up like that, so there was no model.

"Oh, my… That's right. You must have come with your girlfriend."

"Did you come all the way to Incheon because you think you'll get stabbed if you do that in Gangnam?"

"You're not investigating, are you?"

"You don't even know the jurisdiction."

The gang slowly approached Han Ji-soo's side, exchanging treats.

"I have a lot of grudges against her. I have a lot of grudges."

They didn't think about their behavior and only enjoyed blaming others, but they approached Han Ji-soo, who was talking in a good mood. What are you going to do?

At least you shouldn't let her laugh.

They gritted their teeth and went as far as Han Ji-su. As four men with a vicious impression flocked to the place, people who were enjoying music while drinking in a good atmosphere scattered one by one, apparently feeling unusual.

And when they finally surrounded Han Ji-soo and his boyfriend, there was some space around.

"James Park?"

Ji-Soo also noticed while talking with Ji-hoon about her taste in music. She felt an unusual energy.

"What's wrong with the police in Gangnam? Are you having a good time with your boyfriend?"

James looked up and down at Jihoon, who was next to him, and laughed threateningly. With his secret eyes, he warned Jihoon to turn it off quickly, but he just stood at a distance.

"I don't have time to talk to a guy like you. Go and enjoy some music. Don't get sick again."

It was a sign to get out of the way because it was annoying. Her attitude rather stimulated James and his group.

They say dogs eat in front of their houses, but this isn't Han Ji-soo's area, is it? That's the same for James, but let's not worry about the slightest thing.

"Haha... Detective, you don't care about us because you're playing with a man. We were going to treat you well. Four healthy young men are serving one person, shouldn't you like it?"

"Hahahaha~ James! Nice Try~ You can't stand it, can you?"

They mocked Han Ji-soo by mixing sexual jokes. Unable to resist the increasing ridicule, Ji-soo tried to say something.

"You...!"

with a bang-

"Oh, what?"

Lee Ji-hoon's arm, which came in unexpectedly, grabbed James by the collar and lifted him up. Lee Ji-hoon, who is solid but not muscular at all. But does he just lift an adult man like James?

James, whose feet were slightly lifted into the air, was embarrassed but suddenly gasped. Lee Ji-hoon, who threatened to drop him, stared at him.

"I'll see you outside."

James showed off his bravado by trimming his dishevelled clothes.

"Ha! You think I'll be afraid to see you outside? Haha! Yes, I'll see you outside."

James shouted curiously and went out with the gang first.

"Don't take it out! I'll smash it!"

They threatened Lee Ji-hoon with a lively voice. Lee Ji-hoon tried to follow them. Ji-soo held Lee Ji-hoon's arm.

"What are you thinking?"

"I thought it would be difficult to make a fuss here."

"Never use too much force, though it's rubbish."

Ji-Soo was worried about the James gang. Ji-hoon said, "Don't worry," and told her to stay here for a while. Ji-Soo was nervous, but told her to finish it and come back.

Those idiots will go back to their den on their own, like a battered dog if they get hit a few times.

Ji-hoon left the club. The James gang, which was located in a remote alley nearby, raised their hands to Lee.

"Baby, you have courage."

Lee Ji-hoon went there without saying anything. In the dark alley, unlike the colorful one, he could even feel the gloom. There, the James gang, who was already burning cigarettes, is smiling confidently.

"You're here? You're wearing it on your back"

They were laughing at what was funny and punched.

Lee sighed and knocked them down in an instant. One guy at a time. Stuck to the floor, gulping down without even breathing as if he had been hit by a lump of metal, they had to inhale dirt from the floor to the fullest.

Then, by the time he stood up, he was confused and freaked out, screaming and running away. It was a really poor exit compared to his appearance. They left the alley waiting for Lee Ji-hoon to follow.

Lee Ji-hoon sent them off and tried to go back to the club. But he couldn't go because there was a man in front of him blocking the road.

"Who...?"

To Lee Ji-hoon, who asked like that, the man was silent. A man who was around 170 cm tall appeared to be a race of Southeast Asian descent. With his dense features, he was a man with a cute impression that reminded him of a dog. However, there was a life around his eyes that could not be hidden by his cuteness.

"You... Are you good at fighting?"

He asked in English. Before Lee answered anything, the man took a knife out of his hand, called a "carambit," and lunged at him.
