Honey
I was in the snow. I was standing out in a clearing, and there were pine trees around me, with snow clinging to their branches. Around me, snowflakes were gently falling from a grey sky. Although this type of weather would normally be cold, I didn't feel cold.
"We meet again, child," a voice said from behind me.
I turned around and saw the Moon Goddess standing before me.
"Moon Goddess," I whispered, letting her know that I remembered her.
"Honey, I brought you here so that we could talk. I know you are angry with me over what happened to Avery," she said, as she walked towards me.
"Hell, yes, I am angry with you. You promised Avery that you would protect her. You promised her a second chance mate. Instead of any of that happening, my friend is now dead. Why didn't you protect her?" I asked, wanting an answer.
"Avery is playing a part in saving the people she loves. That includes you," she replied.
