Chereads / Jikirukuto: Takoyuki Arc / Chapter 50 - The Gyaru Gauntlet

Chapter 50 - The Gyaru Gauntlet

Yuki shuffled out of the classroom, her mind still reeling from the absurdity of the day. She muttered to herself, "I survived volcano boobs, fake coffins, and the endless circle of subjects. I'm done. I'm clocking out of life for today."

She rounded the corner of the hallway, only to crash directly into someone. The impact sent her teetering backward, barely keeping her balance.

"Watch where you're going, you freak!" a sharp voice pierced the air.

Yuki blinked and found herself face-to-face with a group of three gyarus. Their bleached hair, over-the-top makeup, and heavily accessorized uniforms screamed bad news.

Meet the Bullies:

Rika: The ringleader, with piercing eyes and a permanent smirk.

Mika: The second-in-command, chewing gum obnoxiously loud.

Nana: The hype girl, always laughing at whatever Rika said.

---

Rika: "Oh, look who it is! Miss 'Volcano Boobs'! Did you think your little performance in the gym was cute? Newsflash: it wasn't."

Mika: "Yeah, like, who even does that? Are you trying to be funny or just stupid?"

Yuki stiffened, her eyes darting around for an escape route. Why can't they just let me crumble into dust in peace?

Nana: "Hey, check out her hair. Does she even know what shampoo is? Or does she just roll out of bed and call it a day?"

The trio burst into mocking laughter.

Rika Takes It Further

Rika stepped closer, invading Yuki's personal space. "You think just because you made a bunch of idiots laugh, you're special? Newsflash, you're still a loser."

Yuki swallowed hard, her internal Hikikomori instincts screaming to retreat. But then, Rika's hand shot out and flicked Yuki's forehead.

Rika: "Oops, my bad! I thought your face was a bug. Guess it's just your vibe."

Yuki's Inner Monologue

Oh no. Oh no no no. This is worse than public speaking. Worse than cutting class. Worse than… math.

Her brain spiraled into chaos. Say something! Fight back! Don't just stand there like a dead fish!

---

The Physical Boundary Crossed

Mika nudged Yuki with her shoulder, sending her stumbling. "Aw, look at her. She's too scared to even talk back. Pathetic."

Nana grabbed Yuki's bag and held it up mockingly. "What's in here? Anime DVDs? Or just snacks for your sad little otaku life?"

Yuki's blood boiled. She clenched her fists, but her legs refused to move.

---

Rika's Final Blow

Rika smirked, leaning in. "Honestly, people like you should just stay home. No one wants you here anyway."

---

Yuki's Breaking Point

The words hit Yuki like a freight train. Her chest tightened, and her face flushed red. She was about to explode when—

DING! The school bell rang again, signaling the end of the day.

Rika sneered. "Saved by the bell, huh? Whatever. Don't think this is over, loser."

The trio turned and strutted away, laughing.

Yuki's Aftermath

Yuki stood frozen in the hallway, clutching her bag tightly. Her mind was a whirlwind of anger, shame, and frustration.

I hate this. I hate all of this. I should've stayed in the janitor's closet.

She sighed deeply and whispered to herself, "I'll get through this. Somehow. Probably."

With her head hung low, Yuki trudged toward the exit, desperate to leave the nightmare of her first day behind.

But deep down, she knew this wouldn't be the last she'd see of Rika and her gang.
