Chapter 45 - Dress Crisis

Upon arriving in Korea, Shen Tong first checked the message from Liang Xiaoyuan. Liang Xiaoyuan had not only introduced a hospital but also provided a phone number, instructing Shen Tong to contact this person once they arrived in Korea. This person would help handle everything.

This arrangement made things much easier. Being in an unfamiliar place like Korea, having someone to help was a significant convenience. After contacting the person, it wasn't long before they arrived at the airport to pick up Shen Tong and Chen Xiaoyong, and the three of them proceeded to a plastic surgery hospital.

Things went smoothly, and before long, Chen Xiaoyong was wheeled into the operating room. Shen Tong felt remarkably calm, likely because Liang Xiaoyuan had made the arrangements. For some reason, anything arranged by Liang Xiaoyuan always gave Shen Tong a sense of reassurance.

After the surgery, Chen Xiaoyong stayed in the hospital for a couple of days before being discharged with the doctor's approval. Instead of returning to China immediately, Shen Tong and Chen Xiaoyong stayed at a hotel in Korea. Chen Xiaoyong's face was still wrapped in bandages, and to avoid being photographed by reporters, they decided to stay put until she had sufficiently recovered.

They spent about one to two weeks in Korea, during which Shen Tong enjoyed the local cuisine and sightseeing while waiting for Chen Xiaoyong to recover.

Finally, the day came to remove the bandages. Shen Tong watched with wide eyes, too tense to blink. When the bandages were fully removed, Shen Tong was left gaping in astonishment.

Chen Xiaoyong was incredibly beautiful, her transformation was subtle yet striking. Her already attractive features now exuded an irresistible allure.

Seeing herself in the mirror, Chen Xiaoyong's joy was palpable. She raised her eyebrows and proudly said to Shen Tong, who was still in shock, "Envious, aren't you? I bet I can't fail to become famous now!"

Shen Tong nodded, "We've taken the first step toward success. Once we're back, I'll take you to a red carpet event. Dress beautifully, and you're sure to attract attention."

Chen Xiaoyong smiled confidently, "Don't worry, I'll make a great impression."

However, Chen Xiaoyong was already scheming in her mind. She knew she couldn't share her plans with Shen Tong just yet. Despite Shen Tong's diligence as her agent, she was still a newcomer to the entertainment industry and might not handle certain things well.

The return to China was smooth, without major issues. Back at the company, Shen Tong and Chen Xiaoyong were troubled by one major problem: the dress for the red carpet event.

As a female star, standing out on the red carpet was incredibly challenging amidst the competition of many beautiful celebrities. An exquisite gown was essential, but where could they find one that was both stunning and unique?

Shen Tong asked Chen Xiaoyong, who confidently led her to her wardrobe. Like a proud peacock, she revealed a collection of dazzling gowns.

Although Shen Tong wasn't an expert in fashion, it was clear that each of Chen Xiaoyong's gowns was expensive and gorgeous. However, despite their beauty, they all seemed to lack something special.

Perhaps it was novelty. The gowns were exquisite, but not unique enough to make Chen Xiaoyong stand out on the red carpet.

"I don't think these gowns will do. If we want to stand out, we need something more unique," Shen Tong said to the proud Chen Xiaoyong.

Chen Xiaoyong felt a bit deflated. Despite not being a famous star, she never spared any expense in her self-presentation. The gowns and bags she showed Shen Tong were all designer pieces.

But now Shen Tong said these gowns weren't good enough. What could she possibly wear for this critical red carpet event?

Despite her initial irritation, Chen Xiaoyong recognized Shen Tong's good intentions. To gain public attention, she needed to be unique, which was no easy feat.

"What should we do then? Should we go to a boutique now?" Chen Xiaoyong asked, visibly anxious.

Shen Tong saw Chen Xiaoyong's distress and shared her concern. They both knew this opportunity was rare and crucial. If they missed it, who knew when the next chance would come?

However, Shen Tong forced herself to stay calm and reassured Chen Xiaoyong, "Store-bought gowns won't be any different from these. With a few days until the red carpet event, leave it to me to figure something out."

Chen Xiaoyong looked uncertain. "You really think you can solve this?"

"If not, we'll have to use one of these gowns. But trust me, I'll do my best. Give me your measurements. I might not come to the office for the next few days, but I'll let you know once I have a solution," Shen Tong said, exuding confidence.

In reality, Shen Tong had no concrete plan. She wasn't skilled in fashion, and creating a unique gown required connections she didn't have. She had only been back in the country for a short time and had little networking.

Seeing Shen Tong's determination, Chen Xiaoyong decided to trust her. Over time, Chen Xiaoyong had come to believe in Shen Tong's abilities, as she had consistently proven her competence.
