Shen Tong ate her porridge and said, "I cooked breakfast for myself every day in the UK."
"You must have had a hard time in the UK, right?" Fang Xiaoxi looked at Shen Tong with concern.
Seeing Fang Xiaoxi's worried expression made Shen Tong feel bad. She didn't want Fang Xiaoxi to worry about her, "Not at all! It's just cooking breakfast. Outside breakfasts are expensive and not nutritious!"

"Sure! We have half an hour before work starts. I'll tidy up the dishes and get ready. Let's go to work!" Shen Tong looked at her watch and said, standing up.

Fang Xiaoxi shook her head in despair, "Tongtong, you're going to Fengxing Entertainment, a fashionable company. You can't dress so plainly!"
"I'm just an assistant; there's no need to dress up so much," Shen Tong insisted on her viewpoint.
"What woman goes to work dressed so plainly?" Fang Xiaoxi was used to seeing well-dressed women at work, so Shen Tong's simple attire felt odd to her.
Shen Tong didn't care, "It's better to be low-key as an assistant. Instead of trying to meet others' expectations, it's better to excel at what I'm good at and let people change their views about me."
"You have a point. Anyway, you've never been one to follow the rules!" Fang Xiaoxi agreed, finding Shen Tong's reasoning sensible.
Shen Tong nodded in satisfaction, "Xiaoxi understands me! Let's catch the bus!"
On the bus, Fang Xiaoxi looked at Shen Tong's face, "Tongtong, you're really good-looking!"
"Alright, Xiaoxi, stop exaggerating, will you?" Even Shen Tong, as thick-skinned as she was, felt a bit embarrassed.
"I'm serious! You could easily become an artist! To be honest, I want you to dress up more because of that. If the higher-ups at the company notice you, you could become a star. Being a star is great!" Fang Xiaoxi spoke with conviction.
Shen Tong smiled but didn't reply. Some things, only the person experiencing them knows. Soon, they arrived at the company's entrance. After getting off the bus, Shen Tong took out a pair of black-framed glasses from her bag and put them on before walking towards the company.
"Tongtong, why are you wearing glasses? You're not nearsighted!" Fang Xiaoxi couldn't understand Shen Tong's actions.
Shen Tong pointed to her glasses, "These have no prescription! Don't worry."
"If they're non-prescription, why wear them? They hide your beautiful eyes!" Fang Xiaoxi felt sorry for Shen Tong's hidden pretty eyes.
Shen Tong explained, "I want to hide my eyes. If I really am as good-looking as you say, wouldn't I, as an assistant, outshine the stars? Xiaoxi, don't worry, gold will always shine!"

"Xiaoxi, try not to let people know we're related," Shen Tong said, pulling Fang Xiaoxi back before entering the company, "The entertainment industry is messy. It might be better if we appear unconnected."
"I understand. Miss Shen, I'll go ahead!" Fang Xiaoxi joked, then walked ahead.
Fang Xiaoxi understood Shen Tong's intent. Sometimes, being in different circles allows for better access to information. In the media industry, information was king.
