After Robert's funeral, Ella took several days off. Early one morning, she prepared to visit Brianna. She had plenty of ways to ensure Brianna would confess to her crimes.
Just as she was about to leave, her phone buzzed with a few notifications from Facebook.
Ella glanced at her phone and saw that someone had sent her a message.
BlazeKnight: "I heard about what happened in your family. My condolences. Are you holding up okay?"
Ella blinked, remembering that Eric had once caught her chatting with this online friend and had brusquely told the guy to buzz off. She hadn't expected BlazeKnight to reach out again, especially to express concern. It was somewhat surprising.
LunaFlame: "I'm fine, thank you for checking in!"
BlazeKnight: "I've sent you a few DMs on Twitter but didn't hear back, so I thought I'd try you here. Take care of yourself. I'm sure we'll meet someday, hugs!"
