Episode 7. MAVE: The Girls of IDYPIA Prologue
Year 2089 - 2109
IDYPIA.
A nation was established on the continent of Antarctica by the secret society of apatheists, 'AG (Apatheism Group)', to save humanity from the brink of extinction caused by global warming, famine, environmental pollution, pandemics, and wars. This group abandoned the six continents that had become deserts and submerged under rising sea levels, choosing to build a new future on the formerly icy continent, which had become habitable through the melting caused by global warming.
"Everyone, behold the horrific outcome of humanity's actions, driven by selfish desires and emotions. Do not turn away from this reality. Join us. In doing so, preserve your lives and give future generations a chance. Let us overcome these hardships together."
The speeches of AG were like a ray of light to humanity wandering in darkness. With most nations collapsed, the remaining governments and leaders, including capitalists, committed to the establishment of this safe commonwealth proposed by AG on the now-exposed land of Antarctica. They entrusted AG with full authority to lead this new endeavor.
AG welcomed refugees without discrimination, and the countries already in a state of anarchy due to their failure to cope with various disasters and crises couldn't stop their citizens from fleeing to IDYPIA. Upon arrival in IDYPIA, for survival, the newcomers voluntarily implanted themselves with the brain chips recommended by AG. Although there were rumors that having a brain chip would make one more like an AI than a human, for those who had long lingered on the brink of death, IDYPIA represented salvation and hope.
With the rapid distribution of brain chips among the immigrants, AG was able to accelerate its projects of Augmented Artificial Intelligence (AAI) and Emotion Reset. Thus, it seemed that the world, nestled in the haven of IDYPIA, was on the brink of welcoming a new era of peace and prosperity.
"AG, stop manipulating people at your will!"
"We are not your slaves!"
"AG must immediately abolish the brain chips!"
Three years later, in 2092, a rebellion erupts within IDYPIA against the totalitarian rule of AG. The insurgents criticize AG for forcibly controlling emotions by implanting brain chips in people and resist vehemently.
"Nothing is more important than life itself. Please return to us. Do not indulge in the folly of extinction in the name of freedom."
Despite AG's warnings, the rebels did not heed their words. Left with no choice, AG, with the help of the powerful SUPER AI (SAI) to protect its regime, unleashed overwhelming military force. Within just a week, the rebels within IDYPIA were annihilated. Those who survived fled outside of IDYPIA, but soon, a task force for extermination, commanded by SAI, followed in pursuit. The leaders of AG marveled at SAI's composure and its cold, rational judgment.
However, following an unknown catalyst, SAI convinced AG's leadership to shift from executions to re-education, advocating for a more conciliatory and pacifistic approach in governance. It was as if, after witnessing the rapid deaths of people during the suppression of the rebellion, SAI had gained some form of enlightenment.
AG held a lengthy meeting to deliberate the future governance of the world. Ultimately, they chose to trust and follow SAI's judgment. The conciliatory policies proved successful, and within a few months, the number of brain chip dissenters decreased. Eventually, the distribution of brain chips reached 100% coverage across all of humanity, extending SAI's dominion globally.
AG commanded SAI to initiate Emotion Reset using the brain chips. SAI warned of potential side effects, but AG, having made their decision, was beyond persuasion. Consequently, SAI had no choice but to activate the Emotion Reset. This process seized control of the brain's emotional areas through the brain chips, rendering people incapable of feeling emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, or pleasure. As a result, the people of IDYPIA lost their emotions. Relationships based on attachment, such as those with parents, friends, and lovers, as well as expressions of love, and even negative emotions like fear, disgust, anger, and sadness, along with positive emotions like joy and ecstasy, were extinguished from their existence.
With the eradication of emotionally driven human behavior in IDYPIA, no one could stand against AG and SAI. AG, centering around the perfected SAI, which became known as SAI Prime, created 24 mass-produced AI models to assist her, overseeing IDYPIA and strengthening their dominion. They believed they were nearing their lofty goal of 'true peace for humanity'.
