Chapter 1 - A Showdown

A bright morning in the royal court, scholars scurrying about in the royal library, attendants moving in their regular manner to serve their masters, royal guards all in position at various entrances of the court, flowers bloom, the fourth month of the dragon year, a meeting takes place in the royal hall.

King Lloyd Garcia lll, in his royal robe, seated on his throne in the royal hall, had a troubled look on his blank face, his usual expression, his third queen, Alicia, seated beside him looked scornfully at the ministers.

The noble faction seated at the left side and the royal faction at the right, each with a look of contempt toward the one at his front. The meeting wasn't anything short of the same usual occurrence, with the minister spewing words at each other, highlighting incompetence, the meeting was put to an end with no issue resolved, and the king left his throne with Queen Alicia, his face blank and troubled as usual, like a person under an illusion.

"Hmm You have the guts to attend today's meeting without any solution? How many elite forces have fallen under your leadership, you scum!" Minister Finn shouted at Mateo, the head of Dragonicania elite force, a man in his early thirties, with a bright face of nothing short of kindness, he bowed and beamed back at Finn, glancing at the princess with contempt, he brushed him by, his spit flying almost in the direction of the Mateo.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting" the princess apologized, coming out of the royal garden, after watering the beautiful array of different flowers, she gave the gardening implements to the attendants.

"Greetings Your Highness.... you really like taking care of those flowers personally don't you" Mateo said with an affectionate smile, that of fatherly love.

She smiled and nodded, looking calm as befitting a princess, "Even if nobody believes you I will have faith in you till the end, those ministers only know how to fill their pockets... did you notice my father's expression? he has had that kind of look on his face since that day" she pressed, hoping to pull out some answers from Mateo.

His face saddened, the thought of the day the queen died reminisced in his memory, the kind and generous queen, the princess's mother. Her cause of death is still a mystery to date, after the king married the third queen, the second month later, the incident occurred.

"I just say I should check on you, take care of yourself, see you later your Highness," he bowed, brushing off his saddened face and taking his leave thereafter.

In a certain hut built deep in some forest, "UGH... old man I'm dying" Xerves choked as he was hit with a barrage of wooden stick in his abdomen while doing a horse stance.

"You have done it this time, I told you not to cause any problem while I'm gone... remember?" the man, in his late thirties, had a great amount of intolerance to the word 'old man', glaring at him, his forehead furrowed, he hit him continuously then stopped, " I intend to prolong your training interval, but since you did it to feed Kai I will have mercy".

A day earlier, Xerves who had sensed the presence of demons in the nearby village, took off after 'old man Cornixae', his master, as he had always called him, had left, even though he needed money to feed Kia, his tiger cub, he is always thrilled at the sound of fighting demons, so he took off to the village only to found some men on the floor in a barn, each badly injured, no, not really injured, they are dead, two men covered in blood.

So they have come to feed? Xerves thought with his hand holding his chin, three demons on the verge of escaping through a dimensional portal, what a letdown, I should have used my speed boast, he thought.

Without a second thought, he rushed at the demons with an unbelievable speed produced by the expended molecular energy in the form of light, yes, that is it, whenever molecular energy is expended, there is a burst of light at the moment of expulsion, and at the point area of expulsion in any area of the body.

The demons looked shocked as they were already being sucked slowly into another dimension, light swirling around them.

Whenever a demon goes out or in through a dimensional portal, it swivels slowly while a burst of light swirls around it. As dimensional portals contain motion molecular energy, Xerves rushing at them with his potion of energy must have made the two opposite moving molecular energy to repel, the four were being knocked in different directions.

"Ouch.. my butt, damn it, don't give me trouble I need money," Xerves said rubbing his head and butt at the same time.

"Money? I don't remember owing a human anything, not to mention money" she roared at him.

"After all you came to feed, you haven't paid the price of your food, have you? Xerves asked like a cashier asking for his payment.

"Whoa... whoa.. what do we have here, ultra demon huh? but Sept Evolue, the weakest huh?" Xerves glanced at her forehead and retorted without any feeling of hurting his opponent's feelings.

The demon looking shocked and irritated at Xerves' remark had the word 'Sept E" on her forehead with a long curved horn at both sides of her head, slightly on top of her pointed ears, protruding tail and visible part of her body were scaly excluding her human-like face with long black hair.

"What!!?? what do you take me for? I'm one of the seven leading progenitors of the demon world.... don't give me that, you mere kid" she shrieked, feeling irritated at the same time.

She screamed as if the scream was some sort of signal, the two infra demons launched at Xerves with a burst of speed, raising their hand in unison at him while some heat-like burst of light manifested on their palm, this light which shone made up of high-density molecular energy, summoned out from the body core of demons, one of their major attack power, Xerves guided with his hand as there were huge impact at the moment of collision.

Whoa.. That was close, so close, he thought, I had to concentrate an insane amount of energy on my forearm, if I had been a second late, my hand would have shattered at the moment of the impact, so close, he thought looking at his forearm with a poker face, the demons launch at him continuously but he moved with a surreal calmness, drifting through their series of attacks as if he were untouchable, his mind elsewhere entirely as if their attack weren't worth concentrating on.

"Boy..... I will smack that look of confidence off your face, take responsibility for looking down on an Evolue with your life" She screeched.

"I guess it's time to get a little serious," Xerves said with a hardened expression.

Imagine your soul pattern, while taking a horse stance, your energy flows from your core, you must control the energy that flows to any area of your body, the words of his master flashed through his mind, and he directed his palm upward where a glowing light started to manifest, the energy in form of heat and light was directed to the two demons, knocking them several yards away.

"You bastard, you dare me, I will feed your body to the vulture of the aiiiirr... you aren't worth eating" She said jumping about twenty feet in the air and pouncing on Xerves with an enraged killing intent.

As expected of a demon progenitor, on collision with Xerves, the momentum created a huge blast of air overpressure.

Barely focusing some energy on his leg, he was able to absorb the shock, the demon launched at him with a glowing fist brimming with molecular energy.

As expected, demons have more energy soul paths than humans, he thought while defending the barrage of attack.

He jumped back a few feet before releasing the technique he had been perfecting.

Secret technique! fall of a flowing river, waterfall!!, with a perfected stance, he launched out multiple molecular energy into the air, it seemed as though they spiraled off into nothingness but after a second, no, not even up to a second, there were hundreds of molecular energy in the form of light spiraling from every direction, hitting the demon at all sides and angles, without any time for a break, the demon body was reduced to a battered state, dripping with blood she fell on her knees.

Her eyes widened in terror, and multiple thoughts flashed in her mind, is this really a human, impossible, I, an Evolue, defeated by a human. "nooooooo, it can't be" she screeched loudly.

In an instant, the bright atmosphere changed, and a cloudy one manifested as though a heavy downpour was about to occur.
