Tatsu had arrived in the city of Hono, the closest city to his location. As he approached the entrance, the city guard stopped him.
"Hold on, identify yourself before entering," he said.
"I am Myojo Tatsu, a civilian shinobi. I've come here to spend the night and rest for a few days," Tatsu said, gently revealing his chakra. Since the village system and headbands had not been established yet, this was the most convincing method; after all, shinobi were met with respect and fear in cities.
The guard tensed slightly at this. Even though the person before him was a child, he was likely more powerful due to this force called chakra. Without showing much reaction, the guard warned him and allowed him entry.
"Alright, you may pass, but be careful not to cause any trouble, or we will have to intervene."
Tatsu nodded and entered the city. Since it was getting dark, he quickly found an average inn and rented a single room with breakfast, lunch, and dinner for three days.
"Sir, would you like the meals brought to your room, or should we just notify you?" asked the receptionist.
"Just notify me," Tatsu replied, and as the receptionist nodded, Tatsu went to his assigned room on the second floor and immediately fell asleep. He had used up 90% of his chakra to destroy the previous city.
First-Person Perspective
I woke up to the sound of knocking on the door. A woman's voice asked, "Sir, are you awake?" After I replied, "Yes," she told me that breakfast was ready. I sent her away, saying I would come down shortly.
Rubbing my eyes and yawning, I quickly took a shower and went downstairs. After a breakfast that was neither too extravagant nor too sparse, I decided to explore the city.
This city was one the previous owner of this body had heard of but never visited. Like most civilians in this era, intercity travel was mainly for trade and visits between major families. Even wandering in the forests outside was considered extremely dangerous. The previous owner of this body was a good example of this.
While wandering the city, I heard the sounds of a commotion and went to investigate. It appeared that there was an argument between three Uchiha and five Senju. City guards immediately arrived to intervene and stop the fight before it escalated, but an enraged Uchiha kept shouting.
"Get out of my way! That bastard killed my brother right in front of me. I'm going to kill him, move, or I'll kill you too!" he yelled, and the three tomoe in his eyes started spinning, forming a black and red triangle with a black dot in the center.
Picture:
'Wow, a Mangekyou Sharingan. This wasn't mentioned in the canon, but it makes sense. After all, the clan has existed for a thousand years, there should have been at least a few dozen Mangekyou Sharingan users. In the canon, we only saw eight. I wonder what powers this Mangekyou Sharingan has?' I thought, while the tension between the Senju and Uchiha increased. Seeing the Mangekyou Sharingan, the Senju became a bit more anxious, while the Uchiha grew more aggressive despite being outnumbered, emboldened by having a Mangekyou Sharingan user with them.
A guard wearing more ornate armor, presumably their captain, shouted, "If anyone can stop them, I'll give them 3 million ryo." But no one dared to move, except for me.
Third-Person Perspective
Hearing the reward, Tatsu immediately rushed forward and appeared right in front of the Mangekyou Sharingan user. Then he activated his Tenseigan and said, "Shinra Tensei," sending the Uchiha flying through several buildings. Staggering to his feet, the Uchiha cursed.
"Damn you, kid, you're dead today," he yelled, but Tatsu ignored him and turned to the guard captain to ask.
"Hey, I assume you're the head guard or something. Anyway, will the cost of the damaged buildings be deducted from the reward?" he asked, and everyone froze for a moment. Then the addressed man immediately replied.
"Yes, I am the head guard, and no, if you stop this commotion, the damage to the surroundings will not be deducted from the reward," he said, and Tatsu nodded with satisfaction before turning to address the Uchiha and Senju who were about to fight again.
"Does anyone else want to continue fighting?" he shouted, and no one responded. One person, the Uchiha he had thrown earlier, said, "Kid, who do you think you are to thr-" before he could finish his sentence, Tatsu raised his hand and made a downward motion, causing the man to be slammed into the stone ground repeatedly. When Tatsu stopped, the man's face was covered in blood, but before he could say anything, the other Uchiha intervened.
"Damn kid, how dare you disgrace the Uchiha clan," and with similar remarks, the other two Uchiha attacked with ninjutsu.
"Katon: Goukakyuu No Jutsu"
"Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu"
In response, Tatsu used Dark Release.
"Dākurirīsu: Chakura o Suu" (Dark Release: Chakra Absorption)
He absorbed the jutsu and added their chakra to his own, then released all his chakra, creating pressure on them, and spoke.
"If anyone still wants to make a move, feel free, but know that next time I won't be so kind," with these words, the surroundings calmed down. Even the Uchiha with the Mangekyou Sharingan remained silent. While he wasn't weaker than Tatsu in terms of chakra, the quality of their chakra was vastly different, so he couldn't say anything.
Afterward, Tatsu smiled and said, "Now then, let's disperse," and as everyone started to leave, the Uchiha with the Mangekyou Sharingan turned to Tatsu and spoke.
"My name is Uchiha Takehiko, what's your name?" he asked. Tatsu turned and replied.
"My name is Myojo Tatsu," and as the Uchiha turned to leave, he spoke.
"Myojo Tatsu, if we meet on the battlefield one day, your death will be at my hands," he said and left.
Tatsu smirked and said, "We'll see," and went to talk to the guard captain about the reward. A few dozen minutes later, Tatsu returned to the inn with 3 million ryo and was greeted more kindly by the receptionist. After dinner, he went to his room.
Tatsu thought about his plans for the future.
'Hmmm, first I need to get stronger. Despite my current strength, it's not enough. I caught that Uchiha off guard, which made it easy. Although I would still win, it would take longer. Anyway, I should leave the city in two days and find a secluded place. I'll start training there and only come to the city for supplies. Yes, that's not bad. If I spend it wisely, the 3 million should last about a year and a half. I'll be 14 in three months. As long as I don't slack off in training, I should at least reach low super kage level,' he thought and fell asleep.
In the following days, there were no incidents, and Tatsu finally left the city to find a place to train. Eventually, he settled in a mountain with a hollowed-out peak and a forest inside, located a 40 minute flight from the city he had stayed in before, and began his training.
