Lisa snuggled closer to his chest, seeking out his warmth as she wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him back.
"I think Ivy was behind this." Lisa said as she raised her head to look up at him.
"I had the same hint. I am going to have it investigated." He assured her and Lisa smiled faintly.
On the other side of town...…
In the dim glow of a secluded café, Ivy sat at a corner table, her eyes scanning the room. The place was nearly empty, save for a few late-evening patrons nursing their drinks.
She glanced at her watch, impatience gnawing at her. Finally, the door swung open, and a striking red-haired woman stepped in, her confident stride and piercing gaze drawing attention.
"Ivy," the woman greeted with a sly smile as she slid into the seat across from her.
"It's been too long." She purred as she signaled the waitress to come and take her order.
