Chapter 91
When Anastasia opened her eyes, confusion washed over her. Her gaze shifted to the window as she heard birds chirping; it was already morning. What had happened to her?
Rubbing her forehead, she groaned at the pounding headache. The last thing she remembered was collapsing during her dance with Cassius. Scattered, disjointed images floated in her mind.
"Ana?"
She turned her head toward the voice. Cassius stood on the other side of the room, his gaze fixed on the mirror. He turned and walked toward the bed, still dressed in his festival clothes.
"How are you feeling?" he asked.
She coughed, her throat dry and parched. Cassius poured water into a cup and handed it to her. She drank quickly, feeling her intense thirst ease.
"I feel alright," she answered, the headache subsiding as she drank the water.
Cassius raised a brow. "You didn't look alright yesterday. You fainted in front of everyone."
