"Maybe she left for the ocean as Ksenai had said."
"I hope so," Anastasia said, taking a sip of wine. She was about to return to the hall when she caught sight of a small figure walking around as if lost. As the person walked closer, she recognized Katherine.
"Katherine?" Anastasia called out. "What are you doing here?"
"Your Highness," Katherine hurried to her and bowed. "I have been looking for you."
"What is it, Katherine?"
Katherine's voice trembled as she began to speak. "I... I want to speak to you about something."
"Go on."
"It's about the Queen Mother," Katherine murmured, her eyes darting around as if afraid to speak. "I... I saw her. She... She was walking inside the castle with Marina. But... But when she came out, she was alone."
