The next day, Eric woke up earlier than usual and decided to take a walk.
He laced up his running shoes, threw on a loose tracksuit for comfort, topped it off with a cap, and headed out.
'Ahh, there's no better way to start the day than with a breath of fresh air,' Eric inhaled deeply through his nose, filling his lungs, and exhaled slowly through his mouth.
Standing at the park entrance with his water bottle in hand, he did a quick warm-up before jogging off.
He ran back and forth across the park multiple times, effortlessly increasing his pace with each round.
"Haah... haaah... what's up with this body?" Eric muttered, resting against a tree, drenched in sweat, his breathing heavy.
'I've run over 10 km, and it feels like I could keep going forever. Even after speeding up and thinking I was close to my limit, I could still push beyond.'
'This is the most I've ever run in my whole life—both lives.'
