The ride was pretty normal, or at least it should have been
My father and brother were both seated in the front. I slid into the back seat first, making my way to the far side to give Akari plenty of room.
If it had been anyone else, they would have taken the other side of the car, especially given that we didn't have that close of a relationship. But that was not the case for Akari. In her usual fashion, she slid right next to me, closing the gap without hesitation. It was as if personal space was a foreign concept to her. I couldn't help but feel flustered by her proximity.

I was taken aback by the transparent screen that appeared before my face. Even though I had seen it a few times before, I still couldn't get used to it.
Also, what do you mean by 'efficiency of the quest completed'? And what exactly is a side quest?
[ Since every main quest is capped at 100%, the system provides a side quest once the main quest's progress is maxed out. The rewards and penalties vary depending on the difficulty level]
What do you mean by rewards?

You know what, Fair enough. I'll just be glad you answered the first question, I thought to myself with a resigned expression, accepting my fate.
. . .
"If you want, you can move to the other side of the car. That'll give both of us more space," I suggested, glancing at the empty seat.
She glances at the empty seat briefly, then turns back to me with a radiant smile. "I'm good here."
'Can you consider my feelings for once instead of being a selfish piece of sh*t?' is what I wanted to say. But I held back, knowing it wouldn't benefit me in the long run.
To make things worse, she casually crossed her legs, one draped over the other, deliberately revealing her smooth, thick thighs. As she did so, her thighs occasionally brushed against my left hand, which was resting on my leg.
As soon as we got into the car, my father flipped the rearview mirror to prevent my brother from eavesdropping and to give us some privacy.
This likely emboldened her, as she now flaunts her thighs, subtly signaling me to grab them.
As much as I want to, it wouldn't count as a quest completion since she's the one making the first move. Besides, I have a personal rule against doing things like this behind my father's back—literally.
The ride dragged on, with me barely fending off temptations by avoiding any glance at her thighs. We finally reached Akari's home, where my father dropped us off and handed me some pocket money, despite the fact that I hadn't even spent the lunch money he gave me.
But there was no harm in getting more, so I accepted it without hesitation.
As I walk up to her house, I notice how neat and well-kept it is. The garden isn't huge, but it's tidy, with colorful flowers here and there. A winding path leads to the front door, lined with perfectly trimmed hedges.
Inside, the place feels like a mix of order and creativity. The living room has bookshelves packed with all sorts of books, from classic novels to modern non-fiction. It's obvious her dad loves reading, and he's collected a ton of books over the years.
"Lovely home you have here. Are your folks out?" I asked, subtly probing for the perfect moment to make my move.
"Yeah, both my parents and my brother went to visit my grandparents. They'll be having dinner there," Akari replied, tying her hair up in a ponytail and casually putting on an apron, making the whole scene look effortlessly natural.
It was clear she had meticulously planned the evening. I had to make the first move quickly, or everything would be for nothing.
"So, do you want a drink before we start ou—" Before she could finish her sentence, I swiftly moved behind her as she stood facing the aisle, preparing a drink. I hugged her from behind, wrapping my arms around her waist and resting my chin on her shoulder.
"An appetizer wouldn't hurt," I said in a steady, reserved tone, my expression unchanged but my body language clearly stating otherwise.
Her entire body tensed at my sudden touch, her face flushing a deep red as she fumbled with the kitchen utensils out of nervousness. The model student, who was always so composed, was nowhere to be seen.
"I-I see. Then I'll prepare some orange juice," she stammered, her face flushed even deeper and her legs wobbling slightly, yet she managed to maintain a shaky smile.
"I'll be in the living room," I said, stepping back with a neutral tone and expression, as if what I had just done was entirely ordinary.

Hmm, if my theory is correct, I should be able to stack the rewards for the side quests and collect them all at the end of the timer. After all, six hours seems too long for a single quest.
However, since the reward was still null when we were in the car, it means scenarios where Akari makes the first move won't count as a completion of the quest.
This means I should keep making moves on Akari over the next five hours to maximize my reward, which isn't exactly an unpleasant task.

Hi, author here
I have a question for you
If a book about failures doesn't sell, is it considered a success?
Also thanks for reading it ^∆^
