"I don't know!"

Sasori's tone remained low and devoid of emotion, as if he had no interest in engaging with Deidara.

"Isn't that a pointless question?"

Why is the boss calling us back?

How would I know?

I'm not the boss!

"Brother Sasori, do you think we might have a special mission this time?"

Deidara's face still held an innocent and naive expression, his golden hair fluttering in the wind, radiating youthful energy.

"We're here."

Sasori spoke two words coldly, his gaze already fixed on the tall tower in the Land of Rain.

"Something seems unusual!"

Deidara's expression grew much more serious.

For some reason, this visit to the Land of Rain felt strange.

"Why does it feel like something's missing?"

A curious thought popped into Deidara's head. He felt something was different but couldn't pinpoint what it was.

"The rain has stopped," Sasori said in a deep voice, his gloomy eyes fixed on the tower. The entire atmosphere around him seemed heavy, as if he sensed something amiss.

"Deidara, don't go over there yet. Take out your binoculars and look at the top floor. See if there's anything unusual," Sasori ordered with an authoritative tone.

It had to be said, Sasori's caution was indeed high. He always felt something was wrong. Even when visiting the Land of Rain before, the continuous rain had never ceased.

In other words... Sasori had never seen the rain stop here.

"Alright~"

Seeing Sasori's serious demeanor, Deidara had initially wanted to complain, but seeing his expression, he obediently took out his small binoculars.

With the binoculars over his right eye, Deidara looked towards the tower. His vision became clearer.

"Huh?!"

Deidara let out a light exclamation, his gaze fixed on the shattered window at the top of the tower, where he saw a stranger in red armor.

"Brother Sasori, there's a stranger on the tower!"

Deidara promptly reported the information to Sasori, internally admitting that Sasori's instincts were indeed sharp.

"Are there any others?"

Sasori's deep voice resonated as he quickly pondered the situation. The appearance of this scenario in the Land of Rain was truly unexpected.

"Let me see..."

Deidara forcibly moved his gaze away from the man in red armor.

For some reason, that deep, dark gaze instilled a chilling fear in him with just a glance.

Unexplainably, Deidara didn't want to move forward anymore.

His gaze extended into the room, and he first saw Konan not far behind the man.

"It's Sister Konan!"

Seeing Konan, Deidara's previously tense expression relaxed.

If Konan is here, everything should be fine!

After all, she is one of the leaders of the Akatsuki!

"I see,"

Sasori's voice remained heavy. He still felt something was off, but since Konan was present, perhaps it was just a new member joining.

"Wait!"

Suddenly, Deidara's voice became sharp, filled with intense fear.

"What is it?"

Sasori's eyebrows knitted together. Couldn't Deidara ever stay calm? He always seemed to overreact.

"Hidan!"

Deidara exclaimed loudly, his right eye widening, pupils contracting, as he focused on Hidan inside the room.

In his sight, Hidan was lying on the ground in a bizarre position, his body pierced by wooden spikes, blood flowing continuously, and his expression a mix of pain and ecstasy.

Could it be...

This is the legendary bittersweet feeling?

"What happened to Hidan?"

Sasori's tone grew tense, influenced by Deidara's shout, and his nerves tightened.

"Ah... it seems like nothing's wrong..."

Deidara let out an awkward laugh.

If it were anyone else, he wouldn't think this way. But with Hidan, it was better to wait and see. Maybe Hidan found a new way to enjoy himself.

"What exactly did you see?"

Sasori's mind was filled with questions. He looked at Deidara, whose lips curled into a mischievous smile as if peeping at something, leaving Sasori puzzled about the real situation.

"Well... it's hard to explain..."

Deidara scratched his head. He knew Hidan had unusual hobbies within the Akatsuki.

Once during a mission, Hidan licked the opponent's blood, jumped back to draw a special curse symbol on the ground, black patterns appearing on his body, and then shouted to Kakuzu.

"Kakuzu, shoot me!"

Then, three black monsters with ANBU-like masks emerged from Kakuzu's body.

The monsters floated behind Hidan, opened their mouths, and a fireball shot out.

A whirlwind.

A lightning ball.

The three spheres rushed towards Hidan together.

"Finally, I can feel that pain..."

Hidan's face was filled with ecstasy. As the attacks from the three spheres descended upon him, he spread his arms, smiling.

"It feels so good!"

Hiss...

Remembering this scene, Deidara shuddered, shaking his head to dispel the strange thoughts from his mind.

He's still just a kid!

"Uh... Brother Sasori... It doesn't seem appropriate to go in now... Should we wait a bit?"

Deidara said with a slight twitch in the corner of his mouth. From his perspective, it looked like something was being disciplined inside.

"I don't like waiting for people, nor do I like being waited on."

Sasori shook his head without saying anything extra. Since there seemed to be no real problem inside, there was no point in waiting.

"Uh..."

Deidara still didn't want to go in right away. His giant white bird circled in the air as he looked down with his binoculars. Suddenly, his face lit up with joy.

"Brother Sasori, look, who are they?"

Deidara pointed to two people leisurely walking towards the entrance of the Land of Rain. Both wore cloaks embroidered with red clouds and donned bamboo hats, their silent presence contrasting starkly with their surroundings.

"Hmm?"

Sasori took a few steps on the bird's back and looked down.

"Itachi and Kisame moved quickly," Sasori remarked in his deep voice, showing no surprise as if simply stating a fact.

"Brother Sasori, let's go in with them."

Deidara suggested with a smile, not wanting to face the awkward scene inside alone.

"You've always hated Itachi, haven't you?"

Sasori glanced at Deidara, ruthlessly hitting a sore spot. As companions for a long time, they knew each other's personalities and preferences well.

"Well... I mean... it would be a coincidence if we went in together..."

Deidara scratched his head awkwardly. He did indeed despise Itachi's aloof and arrogant demeanor, but he preferred not to face the embarrassing scene inside alone.
