While surveying his surroundings he noticed the trees here were completely pitch-black in contrast to the giant white trees from the western region of the nightmare forest…
Staring at the giant black trees around him with a cautious gaze, he suddenly got the feeling of being watched…when he turned to look at the tree under which he had been resting for so long, the feeling of being watched intensified even further…
Staring at the giant black Deciduous tree he clearly felt it, the tree was watching him…feeling a bit creeped out he stepped back from the tree while being in an alert state…opening his status window, he opened the weapon inventory and pulled out his brand new Shotgun, the Bahamut and pointed it at the tree…
As soon as he pointed his gun at the tree, a large vertical slit appeared on its trunk, the vertical slit then slowly opened into a massive vertical blood-red eye with a black horizontal pupil, staring at him cautiously with a hit of resentment…the vertical eye then turned to look at the giant black bomb that was lying on the ground right next to it, with a gaze full of fear and trepidation…
Noticing the look of fear in the eye, Aron's lips slightly curved up and he walked back to his previous position, right next to the giant back bomb…
The nightmare bomb was a 15-foot (4.5 meters) tall giant round bomb with its fuse on fire giving off red sparks… a thick veil of dark purple aura shrouded the giant bomb, carrying a very mysterious and terrifying aura that any living creature around it could sense…
Staring at the giant bomb, Aron was quite astonished by the fact that it could still maintain its existence even after the little nightmare bomber had left…
'I don't know how that little guy managed to do it… I guess I'll have to ask it about it the next time I summon it…'
'But now…what should I do with it? It's quite large to carry around, I hope I can somehow store it inside the system inventory…'
Thinking about it, he opened the system inventory with the intent of storing the giant black bomb inside it…he tried focusing on the giant black Nightmare bomb with the sole objective of storing it inside the inventory so that it could be automatically stored inside the system inventory…but that didn't work.
But he didn't give up just yet, with a determined look he strode to the nightmare bomb and placed his right hand on its smooth metallic surface that was shrouded in a thick mist-like aura of mystery and terror…
After placing his hand on the giant nightmare bomb that was twice his size, he closed his eyes and willed for the ominous bomb to be stored inside the system inventory…and the next instant he felt his right hand that he had placed on the giant bomb, passing through thin air...
When he opened his eyes, the giant 4.5-meter-tall bomb was now missing…he then quickly swept his eyes over the system inventory, and there he saw a new item that had been added to the inventory…the item was none other than the giant black nightmare bomb that the bony little Nightmare bomber had left behind for him, for his safety…
Looking at the system inventory screen, at the moment, three icons could be seen in the inventory…the first icon displayed the image of a meat slab while the second icon displayed the image of a red scale…both of these icons actually displayed the meat and scale of the Salamander that he had hunted in the western nightmare forest…
The third icon displayed a round black bomb with its fuse lit and giving off red sparks, at the same time, the round black bomb was enshrouded in a veil of a purple mist-like aura…making it appear quite mysterious and dangerous…
Looking at the bomb icon, Aron let out a sigh of relief…the bomb was undeniably a terrifying weapon of mass destruction…and having such a powerful weapon on himself gave him a slight boost of confidence that he needed the most, especially now since he knew the creatures that he would be facing would be much stronger and deadlier than the ones he had previously came across…
After making sure he was fully prepared for the treacherous journey ahead, with a sharp and cautious gaze he started walking ahead with firm footsteps…
The dark forest was entirely occupied by the demonic black trees, and with each passing second he felt more and more gazes landing on his lonely walking figure…but he kept going, not losing his calm, and at the same time, he held the Bahamut in his right hand, staying in a always ready position in case something came up…
As he kept walking, he noticed more and more eyes on him, and then suddenly he felt something/someone staring at him with an intense malicious intent, turning his head he noticed a demonic black tree with the same blood-red eye staring at him with unbridled greed and malice…and the very next instant, he saw two large dried black branches lashing at him like giant serpents, cutting though the air with a loud "Whoosh"…
Staring at the incoming attack with an impassive look he snorted coldly before spreading his glossy black wings, and with a powerful flap, he just disappeared from his position leaving behind a series of after images…
And then with a loud "BANG" the two large tree branches hit the ground, creating two shallow craters, but the target was nowhere to be found…
Meanwhile, flying in the air, Aron wasted no time and pointed his powerful shotgun at the blood-red eye of the demonic giant black tree, which was busy trying to locate its prey at the moment…
While aiming at the blood-red eye, he felt a tiny portion of his Nargy being consumed by the Bahamut, and then the next a small golden ring appeared right in front of his eyes, the ring was entirely composed of countless tiny runes that seemed similar to the ones inscribed over the shotgun…embedded over the runic ring were nine small dots of different colors, each positioned at an equal distance from one another, creating a mesmerizing pattern similar to a magic circle…
The eight small dots were of eight different colors, which included Red, Teal, Purple, Blue, Brown, Green, white, violet, and yellow…
When he tried to focus on the red dot, instantly the runic ring turned from golden to red, and at the same time, he received a mental feedback from the runic ring in the form of the metal image of a red flame…
'So each of the nine colored dots represents a different element like fire, water, earth…how interesting…'
After selecting the red dot representing the fire element, he pulled the trigger, and with a loud "BANG" a fiery red bullet was shot at the blood-red eye of the demonic tree like a blazing meteor…shooting past the distance in the blink of an eye leaving behind a trail of red light…
As soon as the fiery red bullet smashed into the demonic eye of the tree, a massive explosion took place, with a loud "BOOOOM" the entire cross-section of the giant black tree was blasted into a blazing sea of red flames…its upper half was flung high in the dark sky like a spinning torch while the lower half was completely set ablaze…destroying the twelve meters tall giant demonic tree in just one shot…
Staring at the unexpected spectacle with a slightly dumbfounded expression…he was truly taken aback by the power of the gun…
'DAMN!!!'
'That was one heck of a shot right there…I thought the most it would do was shoot a fiery hole through the tree'
'But It seems I have truly underestimated this gun'
'It truly stands up to its name "Bahamut"... an epic ranked shotgun, made from the bones of an actual Dragon…'
'I guess I will be using it quite frequently from now on…'
Staring at the smoldering tree with a satisfied smile, he quickly flapped his wing and started flying away…because at this moment, the spectacle of the brightly burning tree amid the eerie pitch-black night made the entire area around it the center of attention and activity for all sorts of bizarre and terrifying nightmare creatures…
As he continued to fly higher and higher, he was soon greeted with the dark and ominous view of the entire region…staring at the bleak view of the neverending dark forest that he would have to cross…he sighed in resignation…
The entire dark forest that looked like a shroud of neverending darkness, extended from the edges of the riverbank all the way to the giant mountain ranges, encompassing everything in its path within its eerie viel of darkness…looking at the scenery with a somber expression, he felt as if he was staring at an ominous monochromatic painting that could very well be his deathbed…
