(////)\

I think I found the balance point in my relationship with my husband, really thank you all!

#158 CaringPrince

Why are you blushing, sis?

#159 SweetnessDetector

It's definitely related to hubby! Spill the tea [starry eyes.jpg]

I can't believe I'm following a series on a forum…

#161 HandWithScent

Found the balance point? How did you do it, sis?

#209 [Original Post] HighMountain

Sorry, I just saw this, I was in class.

Last night I asked him to hold me while we slept, and he did. This morning, when I woke up, he was still holding me. The awkward part is, I originally slept on the right side, but woke up on the left. Later, my husband said I had made his arm numb, so he switched hands… [covering face.jpg]

Then this morning, I asked him to drive me to school, and he agreed. But we live very close to school, within walking distance, so I started regretting it once we were in the car. When we got there, he even asked if he should pick me up after school, and I quickly said no [shame.jpg]

He's really patient, and I think as long as I don't interrupt his work, it should be fine to stick around him during the rest of the time, which makes me very content!

Oh my gosh, so sweet

#215

Oh my gosh, so damn sweet

#216 AbsoluteTruth

Sis, where did you come from? Such a sweetheart! [eating lemon.jpg]

#218

Ahhh, I want to be a groundhog in their house!!!

Stella looked at the screen full of "hubby" mentions and thought about Leo's typically aloof face. It felt both out of place and sweet.

#225 HandWithScent

Congratulations, sis [smiling while taking insulin.gif], but since things are going well, don't you plan to take it further?

#226 [Original Post] HighMountain

Get even closer? I think not. He's usually very busy with work, and I don't want to exhaust him.

#229

Came here to learn [taking out notebook.jpg]

#230 HandWithScent

I don't mean getting clingier. I mean you could integrate into his social circle. Make sure his colleagues and friends know you, like you, and support you. The benefits are many, such as enhancing your image and status in his eyes, keeping track of his activities outside, and reducing the chances of him straying. For details, see >> [Marriage Strategies]

Integrate into Leo's social circle? Stella slowly furrowed her brows.

She was willing to meet Leo's friends, but only if Leo introduced her willingly. She didn't want to do anything that felt like surveillance, nor did she want to use strategies like "six ways to keep your husband" on Leo.

#235 [Original Post] HighMountain

Thanks @HandWithScent for the suggestion, but I really can't do that. I haven't thought about it that much. Just being with him, watching a movie, or having pasta occasionally makes me very happy. I apologize for not taking your advice, but thank you so much.

#237 HandWithScent

Haha, it's okay, I was just suggesting. Every couple's situation is unique, sis. No need to apologize [heart gesture.jpg]

Sis, I dare to suggest that you can rely on your hubby with confidence. I really think it's okay! Trust my sharp intuition!

#251 CaringPrince

Agree, agree, agree. I think hubby really dotes on you. Sis, go ahead and don't hesitate!

Stella smiled as she read everyone's comments several times, then sent out a hundred red envelopes in the thread.

Her phone beeped, indicating the battery was low. Stella exited the forum and continued waiting at the student office entrance.

Twenty minutes ago, the counselor urgently called for her, but she had no idea what it was about.

It was just after class time, and the hallways were crowded. Stella rarely participated in student activities, so apart from classes, she seldom showed up at the college. Yet, because she had consistently been the top student in her major for four years and was attractive, many people recognized her, even among the freshmen.

"Hi, Stella!"

"Good afternoon, Stella!"

"Are you waiting for the teacher, Stella?"

"Yes." Stella nodded politely to each greeting from the juniors, her smile serene and beautiful.

"Ugh, what's she putting on airs for? Isn't she just a gold digger?"

"Shh! Keep your voice down, don't let her hear!"

"What are you afraid of? Everyone knows about her. She's just an old man's mistress, still acting like a campus goddess."

Stella frowned, puzzled by their words.

At that moment, the office door opened from the inside, and the deputy dean and the department head walked out. The deputy dean gave her a meaningful look as he passed.

Her phone rang suddenly. It was a call from Anna, but the battery was too low, and the phone shut off after a few rings.

Stella stood there, feeling inexplicably uneasy.

"Stella, you're here? Come in."

She stood beside the counselor's desk, "Professor Lewis."

"Ah," Sarah Lewis handed her a chair, "Sit down."

Sarah was only three years older, currently pursuing a master's degree at the university, and was responsible for student affairs. She was gentle and well-liked among students.

"Have you encountered any difficulties in your studies or life recently?"

Stella shook her head, "No."

Sarah glanced at the ring on her finger and said, "Stella, I'll get straight to the point. This afternoon, someone posted about you on the school forum. Have you seen it?"

Stella was taken aback, "What post?"

"Here," Sarah handed her phone over, "Take a look first, then we can talk."

Stella took the phone, puzzled. Seeing the bright red title on the screen made her mind buzz.

[Being a Mistress! What is the Quality of This "Three Good Student" Who Gets Sponsored? @SchoolofHumanities]

The post listed a series of "evidence" against her:

As an out-of-town student from Binjiang, she applied to move out of the dorm and stay off-campus;

A poor student who worked hard for scholarships every semester but frequented Yuxi No. 1 Courtyard, where each unit costs tens of millions;

A ring on her hand, initially appraised by an expert in the jade industry, was worth at least five million;

And the final "proof" was a photo of her getting out of a luxury car, likely taken when she arrived in Leo's car that morning.

One after another, high-definition candid photos and so-called "witness testimonies" aimed to nail her to the "immoral and unworthy" pillar of shame.

The person even deliberately tied this "gossip" to her honors, with one phrase—"How can someone like this receive awards and guaranteed admission?"—directly offending all the students in the school and dragging the entire department into the mess.

No wonder the deputy dean looked at her that way earlier. Stella clenched her fists tightly, realizing that someone was trying to ruin her.

[Don't they consider moral character for guaranteed admission? Why should someone like her take such a valuable spot?]

[Who knows how she got her qualifications? Maybe the entire Humanities Department is corrupt!]

[Ugh! One bad apple spoils the bunch. The reputation of the 'Three Good Student' title is being tarnished by her!]

[I strongly demand the cancellation of Stella's guaranteed admission!]

[I suggest expulsion directly. Does someone like this even deserve to be in university? It's a disgrace!]

Some people defended her, but their voices were quickly drowned out by the condemnation.

[Why jump to calling her a mistress? Isn't Stella in a relationship? Couldn't the ring be from her boyfriend?]

[Says she's in a relationship, but has anyone seen her boyfriend?]

[Exactly. If she won't say who her boyfriend is, it's obviously because she's seducing someone else's man and can't admit it!]

Stella took a deep breath, meeting Sarah Lewis's gaze head-on. "Professor Lewis, this is false. I am not a mistress."

Sarah sighed. "Stella, I want to believe you, but others may not. To be honest, this matter has already caught the attention of the department leaders. If you can't clear your name, your 'Three Good Student' honor and guaranteed admission could be revoked."

Stella fought to control the trembling in her body from anger, feeling a painful tightness in her chest. "But I didn't do anything wrong. Those photos can't be considered evidence. Why, why should I be denied because of this?"

Sarah was momentarily speechless but then spoke earnestly. "I'm sorry, I can't help much with this. We need to do our best to salvage the situation. Stella, think carefully if there's any way you can clear your name."

Stella closed her eyes to suppress the surge of grievances and then asked, "Professor Lewis, may I borrow your phone charger?"

"Hey, she's responded! Stella has posted!"

In the hallway outside the office, Anna, Samantha, and Jane crowded around, refreshing the forum to see the latest post.

[I am Stella, here to clarify]

Regarding the accusations by forum user Flower1314 that I am a 'mistress' and 'unqualified for guaranteed admission,' here is my response:

1.My current marital status is married (see the picture below). After marriage, I moved out of the dormitory and into Yuxi No. 1 Courtyard with my husband. The ring is a couple's ring I share with my husband. The person driving me to school was also my husband, so there is no 'destroying someone else's family.'

[Mosaic-covered marriage certificate photo]

2.Below are my four-year university major course grades and my guaranteed admission review results. I have no guilt regarding my selection as a 'Three Good Student' or competing for guaranteed admission.

3.I will pursue legal action against Flower1314 for defamation.

With a soft click, Stella walked out of the office with Sarah Lewis. Anna, Samantha, and Jane quickly approached.

Anna: "Stella, are you okay? We couldn't reach you and were so worried!"

Samantha: "Your hands are so cold. Are you alright, Stella?"

Stella forced a smile on her pale face: "I'm okay."

"Good," Jane clapped her hands as if she remembered something. "Oh, we saw your husband coming…"

"Stella!" A worried male voice interrupted her.

Stella was stunned, unable to believe it as she turned and saw a tall figure at the end of the hallway.

"Stella!" Leo walked briskly toward her, clutching his phone, looking unusually tense.

Stella's eyes filled with tears. The anger, grievance, and helplessness she had been holding back surged up at the sight of Leo.

She didn't care that her teacher and friends were nearby or that this was a crowded hallway. She dropped her backpack and ran toward Leo with all her strength.

"Leo!"

Leo took two quick steps and caught her, his chest instantly dampened by her tears.

"It's okay now," Leo held the trembling girl tightly, kissing her hair in front of everyone. "I'm here."

Leo has arrived!
