Chapter 86 - The Aftermath of the Festival

The school was abuzz with excitement following the success of the Cultural Festival. Everywhere they went, Ryo, Aiko, Kenta, and Hana were met with congratulations and praise from classmates, teachers, and even the school principal. The festival had not only brought the school community closer but had also sparked a newfound interest in learning about different cultures.

In the clubroom, the Cultural Exchange Club members gathered for a post-festival meeting. The room was filled with laughter and chatter as they shared their favorite moments from the event.

Aiko stood at the front of the room, smiling warmly at everyone. "I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you. The festival was a massive success because of your hard work and dedication."

Ryo nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. You all did an amazing job. The food, the performances, the decorations it was all fantastic."

Kenta, always ready with a joke, added, "And let's not forget the star of the show, 'Cooking with Kenta!' I think I might have a future as a celebrity chef."

Everyone laughed, the camaraderie in the room palpable. Hana then stood up, holding a small stack of papers. "We received a lot of positive feedback from the attendees. Some of them even suggested ideas for future events and activities."

The club members buzzed with excitement as Hana read out some of the suggestions. There were ideas for international movie nights, language exchange sessions, and even a pen-pal program with students from other countries.

Aiko looked around the room, her heart swelling with pride. "I love all these ideas. Let's start planning our next event. How about an international movie night? We could watch films from different countries and discuss them afterward."

The idea was met with enthusiasm, and the club members quickly began brainstorming potential movies and themes. As they planned, Ryo and Aiko couldn't help but exchange proud glances, knowing that their efforts had ignited a spark of curiosity and appreciation for different cultures among their peers.

After the meeting, Ryo, Aiko, Kenta, and Hana decided to grab some snacks at a nearby café to unwind. As they walked, Kenta couldn't help but tease Ryo and Aiko. "So, when are you two going to make it official? The whole school knows you're basically a couple already."

Aiko blushed, playfully swatting Kenta's arm. "Oh, stop it, Kenta."

Ryo, grinning, added, "Yeah, Kenta, maybe you should focus on your own love life. I heard Hana got a lot of compliments on her koto performance."

Hana laughed softly, her cheeks tinged pink. "Well, I do love playing the koto."

They arrived at the café and settled into a cozy corner booth. As they enjoyed their drinks and snacks, the conversation turned to their future plans. Ryo and Aiko shared their hopes for the club, while Kenta and Hana talked about their dreams and ambitions.

Aiko, her eyes sparkling with excitement, said, "I've been thinking about studying abroad after we graduate. The exchange program really opened my eyes to the world out there."

Ryo nodded, his gaze thoughtful. "Me too. There's so much more to see and experience. I think we should keep pushing ourselves to learn and grow."

Kenta raised his glass, a wide grin on his face. "To more adventures and more teasing, wherever life takes us."

Hana raised her glass as well, her smile serene. "And to the amazing friends we've made along the way."

As they clinked their glasses together, the bond between them felt stronger than ever. They knew that no matter where life took them, they would always have each other to share the journey with. The future was wide open, filled with endless possibilities, and they were ready to embrace it together, with a touch of humor, a lot of heart, and plenty of teasing.
