"Exactly, that's what I though. You know I hold the power here," he said. "Now get back to work before I punish you all for challenging my authority. Don't think coming together can override my power."
Everyone in the room was disgruntled and upset.
Everyone stood still for a moment before Batiste began to walk. Very slowly all members of the department began to disperse and go to their workstations.
"I'm sorry, Tanya," Batiste said as he walked past her with the other scribe. His tone of voice was incredibly regretful.
"It's alright," Tanya whispered to him
The rest gave Tanaya a pat on the shoulder as they walked past her. They all knew Tanya had pretty much been fired.
Once everyone was gone, Master Yaren was the only one who remained and looked down at Tanya who also stared back at him defiantly.
