As Lady of the estate, Madea's role focused on the maintenance of the estate, she would manage the finances of all the expenses being used on the estate. She would also manage servant salaries, hiring or firing more staff, buying produce for the estate chefs etc. Then once she was done would hand in her work to Taron for inspection and approval.
Kind of similar to how the Crown Princess controlled the prince's palace and she would hand in her work to Malek.

Tanya very quickly read through her first document and write her report on it. She was very quick to make all the financial calculations to determine if the numbers were correct and then write her results. In very little time she finished and moved onto the next. Again in a short amount of time she finished and moved onto the next.
