"Tanya are you alright?" her brother Taron asked as he came to see her in her new room.
He hadn't left the palace yet, staying to ensure his sister was indeed alright before he returned to their estate.
"Yes, I'm fine," she responded.
"I spoke with the emperor," he said as he got closer to her.
He had a distraught expression on his face, she knew he had been informed that she was being made to reprise her role as the crown princess.
"How? Why is this suddenly happening?" he asked confused. "I feel like there's something I'm missing here."
Tanya felt guilty as she remembered that she hadn't informed him of Malek's recent confusing actions. It's not that she hadn't wanted to share it with him it's just for a long time she denied what Malek did. Passing it off as her imagination. She proceeded to give him the details of how recently Malek had been actively seeking her out and had confessed his love for her.
