"Your Majesty and what if I refuse to reprise the role of crown princess ?" she asked the emperor.
Tanya knew it was rude of her to ask this but she was curious to know if she could refuse. Although she knew if he was telling her all this it wasn't likely the case. None the less, she wanted to hear his reasons. From Malek to the emperor she was tired of having no choice but to comply with whatever they told her.
The emperor had a serious expression on his face as he looked at Tanya. He didn't seem angered by her question.
"Tell me Tanya, what is the empress of an empire and what is her role and ideally what kind of person should she be?" the emperor asked her.
"The empress is the mother of a nation. She is meant to be the symbol of hope, and peace for the empire. The empress should ideally be a well educated woman whi has the empire's best interests sat heartm" Tanya responded.
