Nothing horrified Celeste more than the fact that Tanya went on to make a full recovery and ended up regaining consciousness.
Why didn't she die? She continued to ask herself. What happened? The poison she used was supposed to be deadly and be strong enough to kill. So what had gone wrong.
Celeste was nervous as she waited. She would only grow even more nervous when she received no further letter. Considering the plan had failed she expected to hear from her mysterious partner, but no letter came in the week that passed since Tanya's poisoning.
What did this mean? she thought to herself. Weren't they concerned about their plan not working? Didn't they have anything to say about the situation in general? However, as each day passed there was still no response. She also checked plant pots around her room just to be sure. Celeste was in complete disbelief, she didn't receive anything.
