A shoot is taking place.
"Madara!"
"Hashirama!"
Two men clad in ornate armor, one wielding a giant scroll with his hands clasped together and the other holding a large fan with a fierce expression, were energetically shouting each other's names.
"Okay, this take is done. Prepare for the next one!"
The director shouted from the side, and the staff immediately moved in, removing armor, touching up makeup, and dismantling equipment.
The next scene would be filmed in a different location with new actors, so these two had a moment to rest.
As indicated by the names they shouted, the scene being filmed was the legendary battle between Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara at the Valley of the End. This battle was monumental, shaping not only the landscape of the Valley of the End but also setting the tone for Konoha Village for decades to come.
Although this battle occurred long ago and even the oldest elder in Konoha has never seen it, the outcome is well known: the first Hokage triumphed, and Uchiha Madara was defeated. The specifics of the battle remain largely mysterious.
But Sasuke knew every detail.
He had personally provided the script, selected the actors, and taken on the role of producer. The three-part film series, "The History of the Founding of Konoha," was underway. To ensure its success, he even established his own film company and personally interviewed the director.
The two lead actors were both ninjas, albeit unconventional ones. Initially unwilling to participate, they were persuaded by Sasuke's generous offer. They would use transformation jutsu to portray Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara, making their true appearances irrelevant. Sasuke chose them for their ninja skills and ability to maintain their transformations.
The plot spans from Madara and Hashirama's initial encounter to the founding of Konoha and their eventual parting. In this film, Madara is not depicted as a complete betrayer. Instead of being driven away solely due to the Second Hokage's refusal and feeling deceived by the Senju, the movie portrays him as a heroic figure with a vision of uniting the five great villages. He believes that merging these villages would end the persistent warfare and unify the ninja world.
This portrayal of Madara as an idealistic and somewhat naïve character contrasts with his usual depiction as a sinister villain. Hashirama, understanding the impracticality of this vision, rejects Madara's proposals, leading to their final, tragic conflict.
The movie aims to beautify Madara's character while avoiding the vilification of Hashirama.
The first part of the film has been completed and shown in the village, receiving positive feedback for its realistic portrayal and compelling performances. The second part is still in post-production, utilizing advanced computer hardware available in the ninja world for special effects. If necessary, ninjutsu will be used to enhance the effects further.
Filming for the third part is nearing completion. Sasuke observed the progress from the second floor of the studio before heading out for more important matters.
Today was the grand opening of the first railway in the Fire Country. This railway begins in the capital and extends toward the border with the Land of Stone. Although the full 600 kilometers of track are not yet operational, over 100 kilometers from the Fire Capital to Iwate Town are ready for use.
Iwate Town, a major agricultural hub in the Fire Country, is renowned for its grain, beef, and dairy production. This new trade route is expected to significantly boost the region's economy, proving the old adage that "building roads leads to riches."
