Returning to the City of Fire, Sasuke first went to greet the Daimyo. There was no need to hide what had just happened; with such a massive clash and destruction, the Daimyo would find out sooner or later. After recounting the events, Sasuke excused himself, claiming exhaustion, and returned to his mansion for some much-needed rest.
Back at home, Sasuke briefly reflected on the recent battle. He was mostly satisfied with how it went, although he noted some issues with his eye technique, *Amami* (eye power). Sasuke had used *Amami* four times during the confrontation.
The first instance occurred when Sasuke sensed Itachi's presence in the Fire Capital. He immediately set the battlefield to move outside the city, ensuring a safe distance from civilians and providing a space for their inevitable battle. The condition was that their conflict wouldn't end until one of them died.
The second time he used *Amami* was upon meeting Itachi. Sasuke set Itachi's body to gradually weaken until his death. In hindsight, this step was unnecessary. Sasuke's current power was more than sufficient to defeat Itachi, especially if Obito didn't interfere. Accelerating Itachi's weakness didn't change the outcome of the fight, making the condition feel redundant.
The third use of *Amami* was targeting Jūzō , Itachi's comrade. Sasuke made Jūzō more susceptible to falling into illusions, making it harder for him to detect when he was under their influence. Itachi, aware of this manipulation, cooperated by taking Jūzō out of the fight swiftly.
The fourth and final setting was for Obito, whom Sasuke sensed observing from a distance. He set the condition that Obito would watch the fight but not intervene until Itachi was dead. This was crucial to ensuring Sasuke's fight with Itachi was undisturbed.
Of the four uses, the first three could have been improved. Accelerating Itachi's weakness didn't add any real advantage, and setting Jūzō as an obstacle was a bit redundant given the difference in their strength. Sasuke already had the upper hand, and both Itachi and Jūzō were bound to fall in battle, regardless of these adjustments.
When Itachi finally died, the draining of Sasuke's chakra and eye power was immense. Ending the conditions of "only one person surviving," "Itachi's accelerated weakness," and "Obito's non-interference" all at once left Sasuke temporarily weakened. If it had been anyone else, such a strain would have caused serious damage. But Sasuke's rapid recovery and regenerative abilities allowed him to bounce back quickly.
Despite the battle going mostly as planned, Sasuke felt slightly disappointed that Obito didn't act. He had hoped for more of a challenge, but he knew there would be future opportunities to confront him. For now, keeping Obito alive served Sasuke's long-term plans.
Sasuke's victory in this battle brought significant rewards. First, he avenged part of his clan. Second, the repeated use of his eye power allowed him to master it further. Finally, he gained Itachi's body, which was invaluable. The Mangekyō Sharingan in Itachi's eyes was crucial to Sasuke's goal of evolving his own eyes into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, paving the way for opening the Rinnegan. Additionally, Itachi's body tissue held further potential for experiments and techniques.
With a series of hand signs—*Yin, Si, Xu, Chen*—Sasuke activated the *Impure World Reincarnation*, a forbidden technique he had refined using knowledge gained from Orochimaru. A coffin slowly rose from the ground, revealing a familiar figure inside with closed eyes.
Hatsuka, who had been watching from the side, couldn't help but marvel at the scene unfolding before her.
As the coffin opened, Itachi stepped out, his movements stiff but controlled.
"My brother," Sasuke said casually, "Itachi. He was the one who massacred our entire clan, including our parents."
Hatsuka was speechless, unsure of how to respond to such a revelation.
Sasuke turned his attention back to Itachi. "You thought it was over when you died? You were wrong. You slaughtered our clan, and you haven't atoned for that. I won't let you rest in the Pure Land until you've paid for your sins completely."
Using Itachi's reanimated body would provide Sasuke with powerful assistance in future battles. If possible, Sasuke even considered the idea of reviving other Uchiha members to bolster his forces. However, controlling so many reanimated warriors at once was an impossible feat.
With Itachi under his control, Sasuke was prepared to continue his journey toward ultimate power, now with the means to unlock even greater abilities.
