The sun rose, and a flash of sunlight lit up my face, stirring me awake from my slumber.
"Damn, who forgot to close the damn curtains?" I asked myself, before getting up off the couch and stretching.
Loud cracks echoed out as my back, neck and pelvis all popped.
"Powerful alpha forced to sleep on the couch by his mates.. haha what a joke." I mumbled in self loathing.
I walked over to the kitchen, and saw a note plastered on the fridge.
'Gone to the hospital to see Malia, Stiles and Danny are at school. Do whatever you want, we'll be here all day. Sarah.'
I turned to the clock hanging not far away, and was surprised to see it was 10:30 AM.
"I overslept." I muttered, "Guess I'll go check on Derek, and maybe let him know about Malia."
I first went to take a shower, which lasted 10 minutes. I then had breakfast, before walking out to the garage.
"Ahhh for fuck sake!" I said aloud, "The girls took my car."
The garage was empty, causing me to scratch my head in annoyance.
With no car, and my old mountain bike hanging on the wall inside, I decided to ride it to the Hale house.
After what felt like 45 minutes of riding through town, and throught the forest, I arrived there. I was surprised to smell Scott's scent as I scraped to a skidding stop just infront of the house.
"McCall's here?" I asked in a low voice, "Der, we need to talk about something. Can you and your guest come out?"
I stood where I was, outside of the house and called in. Soon Derek and Scott walked out and came over to stand infront of me.
"Jake?" Derek asked with confusion , "What's up?"
"Yesterday the girls and I stumbled upon a werecoyote." I informed him,
"A girl named Malia Tate. The thing is, she kinda resembles mom. And her scent.. it's... her scent is very familiar. And I did a little digging and we found out she was adopted. She might be a Hale."
Derek stood rooted to where he was, a look of shock was on his face. Scott who stood behind him was looking confused, and alternating looks between me and Derek.
"What are you trying to say runt?" Derek said as his eyes narrowed.
"Come with me to Beacon Memorial." I stated, "You need to see her for yourself. If she is who I suspect she is, you will need to confirm it."
Derek contemplated for a short while.
"How sure are you?" Derek asked as he and I locked eyes.
"80% sure." I answered, "I just need you to confirm it. And maybe take a blood test to make absolutely sure."
"Get in the car." Derek said, and without looking back, walked over to where he had parked his camaro.
"Wait!" Scott suddenly yelled, "What about the alpha? He's still out there. We need to hunt him down!"
"It's the middle of the day McCall." I said, "He isn't gonna be active."
Scott took a moment to gather his thoughts as I packed my bike into the car's trunk.
"You coming?" Derek asked Scott.
"Y-yeah." Scott replied, "I gotta check on my mom as well."
"Dude, you do realize it's a school day right?" I asked whilst getting into the front passenger seat.
"Won't she ground you or something, for playing hooky?"
"I-it's fine." Scott replied and got in the back. "I'll sneak in behind you guys. I kinda wanna see where this goes."
"You know curiousity killed the cat right?" I asked and gave Scott a raised brow look.
"No.. How'd the cat die?" He asked, looking as clueless as ever.
"*Sigh*... forget about it." I sighed exasperatedly. Before turning to look ahead.
"Never change Scott... oh no... do change." Derek corrected himself.
Derek and I shared a chuckle whilst a clueless and dense Scott gave us confused looks from the back seat.
The car roared to life before we pulled out of the house's perimeter and headed down the old road towards Beacon Hills.
The Hale house was a 10 minute drive outside of town, so it took us sometime to get into to town before we headed towards the hospital.

Sarah and Erika had arrived early in the morning at Beacon Memorial. They had decided to visit Malia last night. And before leaving, they left a note for Jake, so he wouldn't get worried.
Even if he did act like an ass last night she and Sarah both loved him deeply. It was a very all encompassing emotion. Something almost primal, an urge to be with him.
Jake had told them it was a werewolf thing, but Erica did not care. She had found someone she felt complete with.
Her and Sarah knew that they would not be able to tame Jake, and keep him for themselves for long. Allison was the obvious choice for Jake's new mate, but Jake was to stubborn to make a move.
So it fell to Erica and Sarah to make those two an item, and make Allison a member of their pack and Jake's new mate.
Speaking of new mates, Malia was also beautiful. And with enough time, she might join them in sharing Jake. Of course was her choice, Erica would not force her to join unless it was what she herself wanted.
Since Erica was Jake's first, she took it upon herself to make sure if any female that joined the pack, would know how awesome Jake was.
A burst of laughter broke Erica away from her thoughts, and she looked infront of her. Sarah and Malia were laughing. Malia had been slowly recalling how to speak. And how to socialize.
Erica mused that it was because she and Sarah were supernatural creatures like her, that was why it was easier and faster for Malia to re-adapt to the human world.
Malia was very wild. Living alone as a coyote for almost ten years must have really done a number on her psyche.
However thanks to Sarah and her efforts, Malia was starting to return to normal.
"Hey, *sniff sniff* I think Jake's here." Sarah suddenly said as she sniffed the air.
"*sniff sniff* yeah and he isn't alone." Erica added.
"Umm, who's Jake?" Malia suddenly asked.
"Our mate." Erica said, "And alpha, He was the one that turned you back."
Malia had of a look of realisation before she blushed lightly and looked down.
Erica and Sarah saw her reaction and turned to look at each other, sharing a knowing look.
As if on cue, the door of the room opened, and Jake walked in. He was followed in by Derek Hale and Scott McCall.
"Hey guys." Jake greeted them with his cheesy grin,
"Hi Malia, I brought someone to meet you. This is Derek, Derek this is Malia. See Derek, I told you she looked like mom."
Erica stood where she was. Her mouth agape as she registered what Jake had said. The complete lack of context or any sort of information, and also the nonchalant way he said it nearly made her brain short circuit.
'See Derek, I told you she looked like mom.' Those words echoed in her mind, as she tried to make sense of what those words meant.
