Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Building a Massive Shelter! Crafting the Strongest Tattoos!!

As the phone call ended, John felt as if a heavy stone had been lifted from his heart. The previous anxiety and unease gradually faded as the plans began to fall into place. The shadow of the cataclysm loomed large in his mind, and he had to act quickly and decisively. Building a sturdy, large-scale shelter became his top priority.

John dialed the phone again, contacting one of his connections in the U.S. real estate industry—Robert Harris, the reputable general manager. Renowned for his skills and resources, Robert was an invaluable ally.

In just a few seconds, the call connected. "Hello, John? It's quite late. What's so urgent?"

Without any intention of small talk, John got straight to the point, "Robert, I need you to help me build a sturdy, large-scale shelter as quickly as possible. The project is extremely urgent and cannot tolerate any delay."

Robert furrowed his brow, sensing the seriousness of the matter. "John, what kind of shelter are you looking for? Can you provide some specific requirements?"

Standing by the window, John took a deep breath and said, "I need the shelter to be located on the outskirts of the city, preferably in a secluded but logistically accessible location. Imagine the strongest structure possible with the most ample supply reserves."

Robert pondered for a moment and then responded, "That sounds a bit vague. Can you specify the scale, building materials, and structural requirements?"

John's eyes were resolute, "The building materials must be the highest strength reinforced concrete, with defense walls at least twenty meters high and no less than five meters thick, and both walls and floors plated with protective steel. As for the supplies, there should be enough food, water, and medical supplies to sustain thousands of people for at least three years. Additionally, I need to stockpile weapons and energy equipment like generators and solar panels."

Robert sighed softly, "Such a project would not only be hugely expensive, but also require extensive technology and equipment support, and the timeline is incredibly tight."

"Funding is not an issue," John said firmly, "I will prepare enough funds to support this project. Your only task is to start as soon as possible."

Taking notes, Robert replied, "Alright, I will do my best. I need to start preparing immediately to complete this shelter in the shortest time possible."

After hanging up, John called Sarah, "Sarah, investigate whether there are any abandoned large buildings or prisons for sale in the West Suburbs."

Sarah quickly responded, "Understood, I will investigate immediately, please hold on."

Shortly after, Sarah returned the call, "John, I found an abandoned large prison in the West Suburbs, spacious enough and reasonably priced. However, it has been abandoned for decades and might require significant renovation and construction."

John's eyes gleamed with determination, "Perfect, buy it at any cost and contact Robert to start construction immediately."

Sarah, with a trace of disbelief in her eyes, answered, "Understood, I will handle it right away.

"Oh, I also have leads on top tattoo artists; I've sent the filtered list to you." Sarah operated her phone, then swiftly transferred a long list to John, detailing the current status and specialties of the world's top tattoo artists.

"Alright, I'll make the final selection myself, thank you."

Hanging up, John wasted no time and quickly filtered through the list, ultimately targeting a highly reputed tattoo master—Adam Stewart.

Adam was an extraordinarily talented tattoo artist known for his intricate and complex designs. John believed Adam could meet his high tattoo standards.

When the call connected, Adam sounded a bit weary, "Hello, who is this?"

"Adam, this is John Wilson. I need you to design and complete the most powerful tattoos for me in the shortest time."

Adam's brows furrowed, his voice tinged with curiosity, "John Wilson? The business tycoon John Wilson? What kind of tattoos do you want?"

John's tone was firm and urgent, "I need you to design a set of tattoos symbolizing the greatest powers. A trident of Poseidon on the forehead, the world-ending dragon Nidhogg on the back, Hades and Poseidon on each arm, Zeus and Odin on the chest, and the apocalyptic black dragon Nidhogg on the back... Each tattoo must be intricate, realistic, and imbued with supreme power."

Adam, raising an eyebrow in surprise, asked, "Are you entering some kind of crazy competition?"

John responded coldly, "No, Adam. This is a matter of life and death. There can be no mistakes in this task."

Realizing the gravity in John's voice, Adam replied gravely, "Understood, I will give it my all. When do we start?"

"Now. I will have someone pick you up," John responded without hesitation.

Hanging up, John stood at the window again, staring at the sleeping city below. The shadow of the cataclysm was approaching, and he needed to complete all preparations in time.

The next day, Adam arrived as scheduled, bringing various tattoo tools to John's mansion. Walking in, he sensed a tense atmosphere and calmly began his work, detailing every line to perfection.

In the West Suburbs, the prison acquisition proceeded smoothly, with resources and personnel quickly organized. John visited the construction site daily, supervising progress, ensuring every detail was executed flawlessly.

As the days passed, John's body gradually became adorned with intricate and exquisite tattoos, his determination and patience as unwavering as the ancient mythical gods etched into his skin.

"The fences of the large shelter are completed, and supplies are being systematically stocked. Mr. Wilson, everything is progressing as planned," Sarah reported the latest updates to John.

"Good, our time is limited, so expedite the progress. Not just for myself, but for those we need to protect," John said with steadfast eyes filled with resolve for the impending cataclysm.

Returning to the tattoo room, Adam's work neared completion. Although tired, he looked content with his masterpiece. "John, this is my life's work. You will have such vast powers; they will protect you through any crisis."

Standing in front of the mirror, John admired these symbols of power, knowing they were not just artworks but his capital for survival in the impending cataclysm.

When the final tattoo was completed, the weight in John's heart finally lightened. He understood the future challenges would be colossal, but he was ready for them. With these powerful tattoos, he would be one of the forces shaking the world.

The future began to unfold, and this was just the start— the cataclysm awaited, and he would emerge as a master of this new era.

"This is all to welcome the bloody dawn," John mused to himself, marking the moment he would rewrite history again.
