The elves had arrived. Margareth was surprised to see two eighth-circle elves.
She thought they would be fifth-circle at most. However, the intervention of two eighth-circle elves was unexpected, considering that the higher-circle ones were usually on missions, like her.
Even so, this was good news.
She was relieved to see the two elves. However, behind her, Luna appeared with a worried expression and looked at Margareth.
"It's over now."
Margareth nodded and smiled at Luna as she glanced over her shoulder.
"Yes, it's done."
But she was forgetting something.
Luna's gaze shifted downward. The moment she looked down, her face froze in horror, as if she were staring at a shattered, lifeless body—deep, gruesome wounds and blood flowing frantically.
How had something like this happened?
Luna couldn't hold it in any longer and screamed in fear.
