-Gloriana Mengral's point of view.
A fairy contract is a way in which fairies get benefits, as does the human who made the contract with the fairy.
For humans, the benefit of having a fairy contract is twofold.
First, the human can use some abilities of the fairy who signed a contract. The fairy first teaches what skills the human can use and also receives training. In addition, the human can use a certain amount of the fairy's mana.
Second, fairies get their benefits in a personal way, for example, some become stronger by being in the Alpheas world (magical world), and some fairies choose to have a contract because of some need.
However, the fairies' benefit is like saying....
They don't get anything in return.
But that depends on the fairy, some don't ask for anything and some do, while some just want to be stronger or some want to be free from the fairy world.
Of course, there are some fairies who sign contract with humans to help them in their growth of power. However, fairies have a rule.
This rule simply applies to looking for the right human, one who does not have some malicious intent such as, for example, using their power to murder or things like that.
It is simply the rule, but also difficult.
Fairies abide by these rules; however, this rule does not apply to the fairy queen.
"Now you understand what the meaning of the contract with a fairy is."
Gloriana nodded.
Having a contract with a fairy is very beneficial to her, especially since the fairy in front of her has the magic of light.
The magic she herself had been looking for a way to use.
"First you must learn how to use light magic, second, have a mastery of light magic mana, and lastly, learn the skills related to light magic."
However, it is difficult.
Gloriana knew that.
She knew that using a magic that no one knows is really hard to learn to use on your own.
However, she had one person who knew how to use light magic, and that was Eliza, Elizabeth's sister.
However, she wasn't sure if she was talented in light magic.
"First I will tell you this: light magic has three stages, just like the other affinities. However, the stages of light magic are a very different concept. That applies to dark magic as well."
"Dark magic also has three stages, but its stages? That magic has a very destructive power, while light is not like that."
"Light magic has better power in closer combat and is less destructive, it is also capable of reviving a dead person. However, it only works if the person died an hour before; if they have been dead for two hours, you won't be able to revive them."
Gloriana listened carefully.
So, basically then, light magic is like a type of resurrection and combat magic, something simple.
Whereas darkness magic is destructive and consumes people's very lives.
Certainly, it is quite the opposite of light magic.
Gloriana kept her gaze fixed.
They were in a large, spacious room; the room was filled with black colored mana crystals. This had surprised Gloriana; however, it didn't show on the outside.
"One question, are you also just as strong as the queen?".
"Of course, if we were not equal in power, then the balance of the entire fairy world would be broken."
"So, if I am stronger than Asher, would it be the same?".
"You mean your boyfriend who has the magic of darkness?".
"Uh... No, he's not..."
"That doesn't apply to you humans. However, if you fight with each other, power imbalance is possible in your world."
"..."
Gloriana was shocked.
But, of course, she knew that she would never try to fight Asher as to try to kill him or anything like that. However, did that also apply to training or not?
"What if I train with him?".
"It's the same thing, girl. Training requires fighting, it would be the same as fighting normally, but it only applies if you're stronger than a ninth circle."
Eliza's last words left Gloriana with some thoughts.
So, she could train with Asher without the balance of both powers collapsing, as long as they are not stronger than a ninth circle.
However, it's just a guess, though Gloriana was curious to test her abilities and her light magic in a match with Asher and test her abilities with Asher's magic.
It was one of her ideas; however, she didn't know if this applied to the power imbalance.
But, of course, Eliza explained this to her and Gloriana understood.
"You can fight or train with him."
Eliza spoke.
"A logical explanation for the imbalance between light and dark is as if the negative and the positive are trying to become one. And what happens when the two come together?"
"An explosion can occur."
"Exactly, that's why if you are a tenth circle and your boyfriend is also a tenth circle, both energies would explode and could destroy your world."
"..."
Although Gloriana listened to the explanation, her only thought was....
"Why do they keep saying that Asher is my boyfriend?.... Although I think..."
However, her thoughts were interrupted by Eliza's words.
"Let's start with your training. My sister must be doing the same thing right now, so try to learn as fast as possible and beat your boyfriend."
Again, Eliza spoke bluntly about the word "boyfriend," a word that resonated in Gloriana's head. However, she was soon snapped out of her thoughts when Eliza spoke.
"So, start with a concentration, try to look deep inside for a white light and try to grasp it. Only then will you be able to manifest the magic of light."
"Ah, yes, I understand."

-Scene change.
-Asher Frostblade's point of view.
"This is impossible..."
"But it is possible."
Elizabeth spoke, and Encrid answered her in a mocking tone.
However, Elizabeth's surprise was due to the fact that Asher had learned all of his teachings just by observing them for a few seconds.
Elizabeth asked herself only one question:
"How is it possible to learn something just by watching it in less than five seconds?"
Not even the most incredible genius in all of existence could pull that off.
Yet it was right in front of her eyes.
Asher had his eyes closed, replicating Elizabeth's demonstrations in his mind.
Every flow of mana, every move Elizabeth made, Asher was recording it in his mind and replicating it in his head.
However, even though he had learned the skills Elizabeth taught him, Asher still had some questions.
How do certain skills work?
How does one add mass to mana?
A variety of questions arose.
But then he asked:
"How do I add mass to mana?"
"..."
"..."
"It's impossible for a human to do that, only fairies can do that."
"Then will you teach me? It doesn't matter if I don't succeed, I just want to know how it's done."
Elizabeth sighed. She understood Asher's words, but she knew that humans didn't have that ability.
Giving mass to mana is something innate to fairies, it is something that simply cannot be achieved by learning. It is only possible if you grow up with the innate talent of being able to give mass to mana.
However, and just for a thought, Elizabeth was curious.
"What if he makes it?"
Impossible. She knew that no matter how talented a human is, it is impossible to accomplish such a feat, but what if he shows the complete opposite?
Then it would be an accomplishment no one else could do.
However, she had doubts.
"It's simply impossible to do."
For fairies, it's something so easy and common, it's a technique to give mass to mana and give them the ability to touch mana, which is like air itself.
A domination type skill.
There are several types of skills: creation skills, open field skills, domination skills, and many more.
However, domination-type skills are exclusive to fairies. The most powerful mages around the world know this.
Therefore, if Asher manages to do that, he would be the only human capable of doing so, and he would be the only human who would have the ability to control mana absolutely.
Domination-type abilities require absolute control of mana. Even if you are an absolute mana-dominant mage, it doesn't mean you can give mana mass.
That's something only fairies can do.
"Okay, then I'll explain it to you. Pay close attention to this because I'll only explain it once."
"I understand."
Asher then listened carefully to Elizabeth's words.

-Scene change.
"W-what...? Impossible."
"But it's not."
"Hey, but this... Even you couldn't pull it off."
"Well, that doesn't matter to me. I'm dead and what you see is just a soul that can have a body by the mana of my successor."
"But that..."
"Yes, yes, don't be so silly and concentrate."
"Okay."
The relationship between Encrid and Elizabeth runs deep.
However, one could say it is a relationship of respect from Elizabeth to Encrid. Elizabeth respects Encrid a lot because of her ancient and incredible power, and she acts as if she is a subordinate for Encrid.
At that moment, an infinitely shape-shifting sphere was floating in the palm of her hand.
It changed to different shapes, however, when it stopped and Asher reached out his hand towards the sphere....
"So, this is what it feels like to touch mana."
Exactly, Asher managed to add mass to the mana, however, it was difficult.
"Luckily, my head works like a tape recorder."
It was a simple explanation. Although Asher listened to Elizabeth's words and her explanation, he hadn't understood anything.
However, he managed to remember every word, and upon seeing her demonstration, he understood everything.
Adding scientific knowledge from his previous life, Asher managed to give mass to mana.
However, although he can do that now, it is impossible for him to give the mana a certain shape. Without using a creation skill, Asher cannot give mana a shape.
A creation skill is to create weapons using mana. However, shaping mana without a spell or skill is impossible.
Every ability needs mana; however, it is different to shape mana itself.
This left Asher very uneasy.
"This is the first time I failed to get something right."
However, it's not that he failed to get it right. Giving mass to mana is already something that no one can do; however, Asher managed to do it, but his limitation is not being able to give the mana a certain shape.
"Don't get too frustrated; it's quite an accomplishment to be able to do that."
Encrid spoke as he approached him.
"I could never give mana mass, let alone could I give it a shape."
"So don't be disappointed."
"..."
Asher ignored Encrid and concentrated more on understanding what he was doing.
"Somehow it must be possible."
However, at this point Asher didn't understand anything: how can he give the mana a form.
What must he do?
How does one go about giving the manna a form?
It is like creating something that is impossible to do; however, the assumptions came. They were complicated to understand, but what if that works?
"What if I imagine a shape and implement it to mana, would that be possible?"
However, if that is possible, then it wouldn't be that difficult. It's just a matter of imagining the shape and it would easily create a shape to mana.
However, that was the hardest thing to understand.
"I still don't understand this."
It was frustrating.
It was just hard to understand and comprehend.
However, is it even possible or not?
"Haa."
Asher sighed and then dropped to the ground. He was exhausted from trying several times; however, no result came out right.
"But why won't the sphere stop changing its shape?"
Seeing that the mana sphere with mass was continuously changing its shape, Asher then thought for a moment.
"Maybe it's just a matter of understanding the mana itself, understanding and being the mana itself, and teaching the mana itself a shape."
It was then that Asher realized.
It is possible that manna can understand a form. If it is not imagining a form, then the manna must be taught how to have a form.
However, the real question was:
Is it even possible for mana to understand a form, or is it possible to teach mana a form...?
