-Asher Frostblade's point of view.
The road to the fairy realm is supposed to be extremely long.
Or well, so Asher thinks; however, fairies when flying have great speed.
Of course, Asher can use mana to fly, but he has a limit to how long he can be flying, except for the fairies, who basically grew up to fly.
This led to Asher and Gloriana having to walk. Of course, Cifer is also guiding them.
Basically, the place where the fairies live is completely a different world, but at the same time, it is not.
The fairy world is connected to the other world of the wizards; however, the fairy world can only be accessed through portals or a teleportation gate that is connected to that world.
Portals are mana condensed into a single point, creating a rift in space-time, allowing one to cross into the fairy world from the magical world.
However, not just anyone can create a portal. That was what Encrid explained.
"I could easily make portals, though."
"Why are you praising yourself?"
"..."
Basically, creating portals is completely unknown to the current era; however, it is possible to create them, although it is not that necessary.
Why is it not necessary?
Simple: by having the teleportation gates, portals are not essential.
After all, the portals have almost the same function, although they also have their unique characteristics.
The journey will be a long one.
Asher didn't have to worry about time.
The fairy world has a different time; outside, one second equals one day inside the fairy world.
It is somewhat similar to a domain, but time is much different than in a domain.
"So, the queen, is she the queen of all fairies?"
"That's right, she is the mother and queen of all fairies; we were born by the queen."
"Then what about men or fairies that are male?"
"That doesn't exist; a fairy grows through the queen's mana."
Between fairy Cifer's explanation, Asher could understand some things; however, he had more questions.
One of them is how Cifer can give mass to the mana.
The next one would be who is the queen, but that question might be too much.
The last question is whether Cifer knows about dark and light magic.
After all, Gloriana is here too, and she too deserves some answers.
"So, do you know what my magic is?"
"..."
At Asher's question, Cifer remained silent.
It was strange; however, even Encrid, who could be said to be the creator of darkness magic, doesn't want to say anything either.
The same goes for Gloriana's magic, the magic of light.
Asher asked Encrid about that magic, but received no answers. He simply said.
"I will answer all your questions when you are a ninth circle."
Those were his only words.
Despite that, it is true that Gloriana needs to know about her magic. For example, Asher has at least some ideas of how her darkness magic works and can also use it.
On the other hand, Gloriana can't use her light magic and doesn't have any light-related skills.
"It's frustrating, but there must be some reason."
However, it is also possible that they are hiding it for mere protection towards Asher.
It's only a guess, though.
"So, the queen does know."
"..."
Again, Cifer did not speak.
"Human, your magic and that of the other human? The queen said we shouldn't talk about it."
"So Encrid was here and made the queen herself avoid talking about dark and light magic."
Makes sense.
However, it could also be for some other reason.
Regardless, Asher's questions were more.
Maybe in this place he'll get some answers to some of his questions, but it's also possible that he won't.
Still, Asher is determined.
"I'll try to ask."
"So, you can't tell me about my magic that is light either?"
"..."
Gloriana asked. Like Asher, she didn't receive answers either.
It was obvious.
Darkness and light are counterparts; however, both magics have their secret and therefore the answer to the question is the same as the one Asher is looking for.
"That goes for you too, human. I can't tell you anything, but it's strange."
"What is?"
"You two... Light and Darkness, why are you together? You were supposed to be enemies in the past."
"..."
"..."
Asher knew, as did Gloriana.
However, why they are together is simple.
"That's because we're friends."
Gloriana replied.
"Still, that's not a reason why the two of you are together."
"You're right, but... She was the first person I met. No matter what magic I have, I'll always be by her side."
Asher spoke, trying to make the point that they are friends because they are, and because they don't need a purpose to be enemies.
However, this answer caused Gloriana to start thinking uncontrollably.
"To be together, me by his side forever."
Such thoughts emerged in Gloriana. However, she tried to remain calm.
"Maybe it was just a normal response."
If that was for Asher, however, for her it was an answer with a second meaning. And Asher knew nothing of it.
"Wait, looks like we've got company."
Crunch.
At that moment footsteps were heard. They were heavy and echoed loudly on the ground, causing it to shake slightly.
At that moment, the monsters that came out, Asher recognized them instantly.
"Hehe, they're ogres. I've been killing them for a long time.... This is..."
He quickly got himself under control. The very idea of killing these monsters again made Asher feel a sense of satisfaction. It was really surprising to him, however, he was slowly getting used to it. It's like being a madman to see your prey and go kill it right away.
Asher then slapped both cheeks, this was too much for him.
"I'm sorry... I don't think I should fight."
"Why not?" asked Cephir, even she looked confused.
"Well, it's because..."
Raaaawr-rrrrrRRRRRREEEEGGHH!!!!
The ogres roared loudly. At that instant, Asher covered Gloriana's ears.
"Ogres have the ability to instill fear with their roars," Asher explained to Gloriana.
"Ah... Thank you."
Asher can resist, however, that doesn't apply to Gloriana.
"She's still weak against an ogre."
After all, an ogre is rated as grade 8, and Gloriana is a mage who awakened less than two months ago. She's still weak and doesn't have good skills. She still has the basic skills she had to learn for the test on the first day at the academy.
"Cefir... Can you take care of them?"
It was something that left Encrid and Gloriana surprised.
"You ask a woman for help? Tsk, what a coward."
"Shut up, you idiot."
Cephir looked at Gloriana and then looked at Asher.
"It's okay, after all, I have to protect the arriving humans."
Asher didn't think so, however, he was more focused on keeping Gloriana close. In any case of an ogre suddenly appearing, Asher would kill it and, of course, Gloriana might be in some danger.
However, Asher knew that Cefir is very strong. More or less strong than the mysterious woman who is probably from the eighth or ninth circle. However, it is still a mystery who the mystery woman is.

-Scene change.
"Amazing, so that's the fairy kingdom. The tree can be seen from far away."
"That's because it's the world tree. Elves and fairies used to live together there before."
This left Asher with some curiosity.
Elves... Asher then remembered Alice, his elven friend who accompanied him for six months in search of the ten knightly achievements.
"Why don't the elves live there anymore?"
"Mmm, I don't really know. The queen is the only one who knows."
Asher sighed. He didn't need to ask much at this point. The queen would perhaps answer at least one question for him, however, why Cephir is bringing Asher and Gloriana before the fairy queen is mysterious.
Perhaps it is for some reason, however, Asher cannot think of an answer.
Being on top of a relatively large, extensive and high hill, something like a small mountain, from this height he could see the whole world much better. For some reason it seemed to be very large, however, seeing the giant tree, everything around it seemed so small that Asher even thought for a moment:
"Wouldn't this world be too small?"
Even so, it really isn't. The fairy world, according to Cefir's explanation, is only slightly smaller than the magical world.
But it is by no means inferior in size.
The magical world is called "Alpheas"; it is the world where Asher was reincarnated. The fairy world is called "Lunaria", and of course, the world where Asher comes from is "Earth".
Certainly, Asher was surprised to see a third world apart from Alpheas. A world where there is only one intelligent race, which would be the fairies.
But then Asher thought of something.
"The dragons, would they be in this world?"
If in Alpheas the whereabouts of dragons are unknown, then perhaps in Lunaria, the fairy world, dragons would also be present. It would be perfect, a place where they would be undisturbed, the mana is incredibly denser, and it is peaceful.
In the novels, dragons live in quiet territories.
So Asher decided to ask.
"Are the dragons here?"
"..."
Gloriana looked at Asher.
"The dragons, the species that even ninth circle mages couldn't defeat, do you think they're here?"
"I don't know, it was just a thought."
At that moment, Cephir paused, then turned to look at Asher and moved closer until he was inches away. Asher looked very closely at Cefir's face. She then touched Asher's forehead with her finger.
"What are you doing?"
He burst out.
At that moment, Asher was pushed with a wave of mana and thrown back several meters away.
"Asher..."
Gloriana shouted and quickly ran towards him. However, Cephir stopped Gloriana.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"Hey, human, you've asked too many questions. This will be my last answer."
Asher stood up slightly as he wiped the blood running from his nose. Seeing Cefir's cold stare, Asher understood that he had crossed the line.
"The dragon existence is too powerful a species. In the past, there were few who defeated the strongest dragons, especially someone with your magic. It was the one who killed the strongest dragons."
Asher understood. Because dragons have not been seen since the appearance of the second dimensional rift, there are only records. However, it seems that the dragons are afraid. Fear of the being that killed the strongest dragons.
Of course, Asher knew immediately who killed those stronger dragons.
"Encrid, it was you, wasn't it?"
"..."
Encrid did not speak. However, it was to be expected, this question also applied to darkness magic.
"Heck, I'll have to be a ninth circle to get answers then."
"Exactly. For the time being, don't ask anything."
Encrid finally spoke.
"Then let's keep going, we'll get there in a few days."
Cephir then continued moving forward. Asher got up from the ground and wiped off the dirt.
"Are you all right?"
"Yes... I think it's best not to ask anymore."
"You're right."
After all, they were in a different world. There was no one to help them in case they were in danger. However, the queen would perhaps return Asher and Gloriana faster.
"Then I won't have to walk back to the gate."
In fact, the gate was far enough to walk back. So Asher and Gloriana followed Cephir, keeping a distance of five meters.
"I still can't trust anyone here."
Was their thought. That fairy, Cefir... Asher can't trust her so easily. Her attitude and reaction to his questions certainly left Asher with some doubts.
She does know the answers to his questions, yet she doesn't answer.
Asher then continued. The road is long and, after all, they have all the time they need to be in the fairy world for quite a while....
