The next event Is a tournament like event and max was fine with it and apparently his first opponent is kirishima

After getting something to eat the tournament started and Max's fist opponent is kirishima from what max gathered kirishima has an ability to harden his skin and it seems to be more durable the harder his skin gets but the downside is that kirishima is a bit of a literal block head.

Max knew that he can easily beat kirishima he just wants to warm up his sword skills max knows that his ability allows him to create anything weapons and other constructs but using a sword feels right and this sword gets stronger every time it breaks so it will be a was to let it rust
Kirishima threw about of punches to max who deflected all of them with his sword max decided he had enough and he put the sword backwards and put all his spiritual energy in his arm and fist and hit kirishima in the chest a shockwave came over the arena and energy exploded and kirishima was launched out side the arena unconscious
Midnight the students and the audience were shocked that max just defeated kirishima in one hit midnight quickly recovered
Midnight: kirishima is down max McKnight advances to the next round
Max walked away from the arena
He got to his class booth and he sat down
Kaminari: dude what was that it's like midoriya or all might's punch

Max ran at todoroki and knees him in the gut but max wasn't done he grabbed todoroki by the collar and he slammed him towards the arena floor and the force almost knocked out todoroki and his back hurt like hell.
Max: so when people are in danger and you face someone with the ability to counter your ice what do plan on doing and don't give me the I'll think of something because you know that's a bullshit excuse.

Max: because you dragged me into your bullshit I had no business in it but no you just want to keep on getting involved if you want resolve your daddy issues then forget about his opinions and stop paying attention to him and think about your own future.
Todoroki got up and he was remembering a memory of his mother and that triggered the flames max could feel the heat but ryu's fire is stronger.

Max summoned his black arms and wrapped around the short sword and making it look like a black blade max put it to the sky and swung it down with force at the same time todoroki unleashed big fire blast and it when the two attacks connected a massive explosion of shock waves blew at everyone and the arena was covered in smoke and nobody can see who won.
