Eternal Kingdom, Terra Continent, Sacred Sword Empire
In the twilight of a busy day, a young man with black hair and piercing eyes, dressed in a black shirt and white pants, ran through the narrow streets of Red Flame City. His name was Noih, an orphan living in the local orphanage. As he ran, his heart raced, not just from the physical exertion, but from the excitement of the great day: the Day of Elemental Awakening.
The streets were full of cars and houses, and the city was governed by the powerful Ignis family. Noih, known for his calm yet misunderstood nature, was often seen as a delinquent by others.
The Empire's Past
In the Sacred Sword Empire, a rule was established a thousand years ago by the first Emperor, Arthur Pendragon. A thousand years ago, the Terra continent was a mortal planet until it was suddenly displaced and integrated into the Eternal Kingdom, a vast realm whose extent is unknown.
In this Eternal Kingdom, everything can manifest as an element. Arthur Pendragon, upon awakening the powerful element of the Sacred Sword, founded the empire that became the most prosperous and just of all. Here, everyone has a chance to awaken an element at the age of 18, a tradition that keeps the promise of equality alive.
Arrival at School
After a ten-minute run, Noih arrived at the school, breathless and anxious. He looked around and saw several 18-year-olds, equally nervous about the Awakening. Noih headed to his classroom, Third Year D, where he found a student with curly brown hair and brown eyes sitting in a chair, while several others lay on the floor.
Marcos Wilde, the seated student, was known for starting fights to prove his strength. Today was no different. The Third Year D class was infamous, considered one of the worst in the school. Noih, Marcos, Michael, and Zephyr were known as the four delinquents.
Once, at the age of 15, they stole a teacher's car from the school, even though they didn't know how to drive. You can imagine what happened, right? But I'll tell you: they crashed the car into a house wall. One of the biggest mysteries in the city and the school is how they survived. In the end, the poor teacher cried blood and lost his car. The students weren't punished because their class teacher was Beatriz Scallet, the eldest daughter of the head of the Scallet family, a noble family of the Sacred Sword Empire. No one knows, besides the Ignis family, what she's doing in this city.
When Noih entered, Marcos stood up and taunted:
"Finally arrived, Noih. I'm tired of playing with these weaklings."
Noih rolled his eyes and calmly responded:
"We're close to the Awakening, it's not good to fight now."
Marcos, ever the provocateur, mocked:
"Are you scared?"
Without hesitation, Noih accepted the challenge:
"Come on."
Marcos advanced with a punch, which Noih deftly dodged, retaliating with a precise blow to Marcos's chin, sending him crashing into the chairs.
Despite being an orphan, Noih had learned to fight with Mr. Steve Walter, one of the orphanage leaders. Although he initially struggled, Noih became a formidable fighter, although he still couldn't beat his mentor.
After the brief fight, Noih went to his seat. A few minutes later, Michael Walker entered, wearing a black hat, black jacket, and decorated gloves.
"Good morning, Noih. And you, Marcos? Still brave enough to face the Bruce Lee of the class?" joked Michael, referring to Noih's fighting skills.
"Are you anxious?" asked Michael, changing the subject.
"A bit," admitted Noih.
"I'm going to awaken a great element and get revenge on Noih," said Marcos, still proud.
"Dreaming is good," replied Noih, provoking laughter.
"And you, Michael?" asked Noih.
"I'm not anxious, just tired," answered Michael.
"Who told you to stay up late hitting against handjob?" joked Noih.
"Damn it, Noih, you're ruining my reputation," Michael looked around and saw a girl staring oddly from the corner.
"Hahahaha," Noih laughed.
At that moment, Zephyr Winter entered, all bruised. He was a young man with white hair and red eyes, and part of the delinquent quartet.
"The quartet is complete," said a young girl with short jet-black hair and golden eyes. Her name was Renna Fontes.
"Shut up, femboy," said Michael, who disliked Renna intensely.
"What happened to you? You look like you got run over," said Noih, surprised.
"The White Dragon eruption beat me up," replied Zephyr, referring to his sister, Luna Winter.
Luna was one of the school beauties, with hair as white as snow and eyes as blue as celestial ice. Although small-busted, her beauty was undeniable. Zephyr had called her a "plank," and she didn't like it.
Shortly after, Luna and Eva Green, a friend with black hair and green eyes, entered the room. Eva, the opposite of Luna, had a well-developed body. Both were considered among the most beautiful in the school.
Before going to her seat, Luna looked at Zephyr with a cold expression. Zephyr felt a chill, and his friends started laughing at him.
Teacher Beatriz Scallet, with red hair and eyes, entered soon after. Her temper was fierce, comparable to a defeated demon king.
"Listen up, you little shits. I want at least one of you to awaken a useful element. I don't want to waste my years teaching a class of trash."
The students felt anger but knew they could do nothing.
"Let's go," murmured Beatriz, leading the class to the Awakening Room. The quartet walked together behind everyone else, with Luna and Eva at the front, along with the teacher, while the others followed in the middle.
After five minutes, they arrived at the Awakening Room, where there was an enormous stone. Besides Third Year D, classes A, B, and C were also present.
The students gathered, and the school director, a member of the Ignis family, a man with black hair, a black beard, and red eyes, solemnly declared:
"The ceremony begins now."
