Roger stepped out of the room, closing the door behind him, and was about to leave when he was stopped by the sight of Kaden in front of him. His brows furrowed slightly in response to his unexpected presence, and words of inquiry escaped his lips.
"Y-Young Master Kaden, how come you are here?" Roger immediately understood his error as Kaden raised his brow in response to his words.
Kaden was not a welcoming person, and he never appreciated it when people crossed the line with him.
"And who are you to stop me from seeing my father?" his nasty response caused Roger to lower his head and apologize.
"I'm sorry, young master," he murmured.
Kaden had never truly noticed Roger and simply knew him as his father's trusted man. Maybe because he was young, and after whatever happened, he traveled to another nation for higher studies and eventually discovered his love while barely remaining in touch with his parents.
