"Why are you sitting there with your hair still damp?"
Eveline's body stiffened when she heard Gabriel enter the room.
Her eyes grew wide as she turned to face him.
Fortunately, Gabriel moved to close the door, and she quickly placed the phone on the bed and hid the note under the mattress before returning to her position.
"Do you want to get sick?" he questioned, making his way to the bed.
He remembered that when he left, Eveline was still in the shower, and now that he has returned after a lengthy absence, she is still sitting there without drying her hair.
Eveline was too caught up in his unexpected appearance, but why wouldn't he come? He needed to come; after all, it was his room too.
'Stupid Eveline,' she chided herself inwardly while forcing a grin.
"I waited for you. Would you like to help me dry my hair?" she asked, leading Gabriel to smile.
