Eveline confronts Daniel about her failure to reach Gracey last night, but she asks him to remain silent and wait for her to call the next day.
The entire night passed with him scarcely sleeping, and he kept tossing and turning over in bed, thinking about Gracey.
When he observed the sun had come out, he couldn't wait a second for her to reach out and immediately changed to depart for her place; but, on his way, he discovered Gabriel standing before him, his face tinged with anxiety, and he divulged.
"Gracey hasn't been home all night, and her parents have filed a missing complaint. They need you at the station for an investigation."
The words came at Daniel like a flood, washing away his sensible thinking, and he nodded in agreement before they both left the house together.
As soon as they arrived at the station, they saw Eveline, along with Gracey's mother Rose, comforting her as her father spoke with the police.
