Chapter 7 - Chapter-3 Medea's return to Colchis part 3

Returning to Colchis, I observed myself surrounded via way of means of acquainted faces, but the sensation of isolation become overwhelming. My blood household moved round me, engaged of their every day exercises and political machinations, however I felt like a stranger in my very own home. Their glances had been bloodless and their phrases distant, every interplay reminding me that I become now not honestly one in all them. Despite being again amongst my own, I become dealt with as an outsider, a device for use as opposed to a loved daughter.

In the quiet moments, I wandered the palace halls, the echoes of my footsteps a consistent reminder of my solitude. The grand chambers and luxurious gardens that had as soon as been my sanctuary now felt like a gilded cage. I watched my household from a distance, their laughter and conversations a painful comparison to the silence that enveloped me. They had been certain via way of means of shared targets and mutual interests, whilst I become forged out, my loyalty wondered and my location withinside the own circle of relatives undermined. It become in those moments of isolation that I found out how honestly by myself I become , surrounded via way of means of relatives but thoroughly disconnected from them.

In pursuit of occupying my time, I took upon to go to the sacred grove wherein the Golden Fleece has kept. The fleece, an image of divine want and royal legitimacy, changed into the coronary heart of Colchis' . I stood front of it, feeling a deep connection to the historical relic. Something just changed there as though the fleece itself mentioned my presence and energy. The dragon who guarded it, used to be the fearsome beast in my eyes, now i regarded him as fellow sentinel of the sacred grove.

As I stood there, the dragon stirred and its eyes met mine. I reached out, now no longer with my hand, however with my thoughts and my magic. "You recognize me," I whispered. "I am Medea, daughter of Aeëtes, thought by the Circe. I am seeking for to shield what's ours."

The dragon's eyes softened, and it reduced its head barely, a gesture of appreciate and

recognition. I felt a surge of energy and obligation wash over me. The Golden Fleece and its gaurdian have been now a part of my charge.

As I turned go back from the grove, I got interrupted by the arrival of my brother, Apsyrtus. "Medea," he called, drawing near with a curious look. "What do you intend to do now which you have returned?"

I checked out him, thinking about my phrases carefully. "I will do what's essential to

shield and fortify Colchis, Apsyrtus. There are demanding situations ahead, and I intend to stand them head-on."

Apsyrtus nodded, even though there has been a touch of skepticism in his eyes. "Just

remember, sister, that now no longer everybody inside the courtroom docket will

welcome your return so warmly. Some see your energy and strength as a threat."

"I am aware," I stated, my voice firm. "But I am now no longer right here to are seeking for approval. I am right here to meet my future."

I looked in his eye and say "do you find any joy in my return to the realm? Or do you feel threaten as the others."Apsyrtus looked at me with a faint smile and say "of course I find your return as a joyous moment, You are my sister after all, we were destined to be bound together, Medea we have shared a same womb we are tied together by same blood and the duty for this realm." My eyes softened as he further stated "Father and the people of courtroom might see you as a threat for caution, but they all know that you will aid the kingdom in the time of need."

I looked down at the ground and whisper "Time of need?" I turned my gaze toward him and say "So father sent me away for all this years so I can aid him in the time of need, you remember how I yearn for his affection don't you how he always doted you as a child but not me, leaving me with the void of love and affection that no one could ever fill, I became a tool to our fathers desire toiling myself day and night at his will, so I can gain his affection."

My brother looked me with sympathetic eyes and say "You are more than just a tool Medea, you behold the power that no one in the realm has, you are my sister and you have my undying love and respect, courtroom politics is brutal so keep your eyes open and feet steady not everyone can be trusted."

"Not even you?" I asked in firm voice he replied "how can I betray my beloved sister? I will always have your back no matter what."

We moved beneath the oak tree to further our conversation, the tree where we used to play as a child.

Being under the tree reminds them of their childhood and joyous moments putting there heart to ease, Apsyrtus looked at Medea with a smile and stated "nostalgia?" Medea replied with diligence now calm and softer than before, "Nostalgia is a time travel that take us back to moments cherished and memories treasured."

Apsyrtus, his eyes glowing with proper joy, embraced his sister warmly. "Medea, it is any such blessing to have you ever back. The palace feels alive once more with you here," he said, his voice complete of affection. Medea smiled, heart warming at his words. Amidst the bloodless and treacherous courtroom docket of Colchis, Apsyrtus had usually been her refuge, her steadfast ally.

As they reminisced approximately their adolescence and shared their hopes for the future, Medea could not assist however experience a deep experience of gratitude. In this perilous world, her brotherbecome the only character she ought to accept as true without any caution. "You have usually been my rock, Apsyrtus," she said, her voice tinged with emotion." I do not know what I could do without you." Apsyrtus squeezed her hand reassuringly, his smile unwavering. "And you, pricey sister, are my guiding star. Together, we are able to face anything."

Yet, because the golden mild of nightfall forged lengthy shadows throughout the garden, the tranquil scene held a diffused foreboding. The oak tree above them, historic and steadfast, had some branches starting to wither and die, hinting at an unseen illness during this heartfelt moment.

As our conversation ended, i walked away to the palace, I felt the burden of my destiny upon me. The instructions of Aeaea had prepared me, however the real check of my competencies and strength has yet to come. Little did I recognize that my return to Colchis will come up with great challenges, for me and this ancient realm.
