In ancient times in the furthest reaches of the known world, beyond the jagged peaks of the Caucasus Mountains and the stormy waters of the Black Sea, lay the legendary kingdom of Colchis. It was a realm of breathtaking beauty and peril, where deep forests whispered ancient secrets and powerful rivers flowed with the earth's lifeblood.
At the heart of the Colchis stood the grand palace of king Aeëtes with his wife Idyia and three children Medea, Abystru, Chalciope . Aeëtes was none other than but a formidable ruler descendent of the sun god Helios. He is a wise and ruthless monarch who commanded both respect and dread. His eyes, like molten gold, were claimed to see through lies and deception, as a gift from his divine ancestry. Aeëtes maintained strict control over the Golden Fleece, the kingdom's most valuable possession. This fleece, a symbol of heavenly favor and enormous power, hung in a sacred forest, guarded by a never-sleeping beastly dragon..
Medea, the daughter of Aeëtes and the Oceanid Idyia, was born into a world of mystery and grandeur. Idyia, an ethereal sea nymph, brought to her children the ocean's fluid elegance and deep wisdom. Her relationship with Aeëtes was a mix of strategy and passion, combining the raw strength of the sun with the mysterious depths of the sea. Their union resulted in the birth of Medea, a kid distinguished by her extraordinary lineage.
Medea was no ordinary princess from the beginning . Her piercing emerald eyes,
inherited from her mother, appeared to carry the depths of the ocean and the mysteries of the heavens. Her hair was dark as a raven's wing and flowed with almost sentient life, falling over her shoulders like a midnight cascade. Medea had possessed a gift for the arcane, which was nurtured and taught by her aunt Circe, Medea not only learned the mechanics of magic, but also the philosophy, duty and responsibility that accompanied such power.
From an early age people knew that Medea is a force to reckon with, her beauty and implacable sorcery made her a formidable companion, However, Medea felt the weight of her destiny beneath the surface of this regimented life. Aeëtes had high hopes for her since he believed she had the ability to use magic to uphold and strengthen his rule. He exerted constant pressure on her, expecting perfection in all facets of her existence. This pressure planted the seeds of revolt and resistance, but it also made Medea a lady of unmatched talent and resolve and a marionette for her father.
Medea's beauty and might became the talk of the kingdom and beyond as she matured into a lady. Stories of her exceptional abilities and supernatural heritage drew suitors from a great distance, all vying for her hand in marriage. Nevertheless, Medea stayed distant, concentrating on her education and the responsibilities that came with being a Colchis princess. Her heart, on the other hand, was a different story; it was devoid of love yet ached for something beyond the life that was outlined for her.
As always, the fates woven their complex webs, and Medea's path was meant to
intersect someone who will change the course of ancient Greece fate, which
resulted in immense tragedy, bloodshed, lies, betrayal, revenge and grandeur. For the time being, Medea was a powerful and immensely talented character who was on the verge of a destiny that would influence mythology and history for future centuries.
With its ancient shrines and hallways shaded by holy woods, Medea's story was only getting started in her father's palace. The eldest daughter of the legendary sorceress Colchis was about to go on a legendary journey that would prove the eternal strength of love, retribution, and fate.
