Chereads / Transmigrated to the Chuuni World / Chapter 8 - The Invitation

Chapter 8 - The Invitation

Inside the stargazing tent, under the serene evening of icy cold and silence of the tranquil forest in the outskirts of the Town or Beginnings, Princess Luna lay rest unconscious. Ryder, on the other hand, remained awake to become her watchful eye for the uncertain quiet night until she completely recovered from the depletion of Chuuni Qi despite the absence of an obligation to do so.

However, through these once-in-a-blue-moon circumstances that possibly would not ever transpire again, Ryder's incomprehensible black eyes witnessed one of the potential heirs of the Queendom of Eclipse sleeping soundly and totally unbothered.

Ryder was utterly at a loss for words, his gaze seemed to lock on her flawless figure partially illuminated by the moonlight hovering above the dark sky that inexplicably resembled her.

In his vision, Princess Luna Valentine was donning a sophisticated, black dress that combined the elements of elegance and deceitful confidence. It possessed off-the-shoulder sleeves and a fitted corset, accentuating her figure. In addition, gold chains drape over her gothic-like dress, somewhat a representation of luxury and the blood of royalty. These chains were wrapped around her neck, waist, and arms like loosely coiling tamed alchemical snakes.

What's more, the obsidian dress had a high slit, revealing a portion of her rested leg covered by sheer black stockings. It was undeniably alluring to the core.

In resonance with this attractive attire, the Vampire Princess had long, silver hair that fell past her shoulders, with bangs partially covering her forehead. Her crimson eyes were nothing short of striking, and her complexion was fair and ethereal like the serene snow.

To put it simply, Princess Luna was every man's dream.

"That's a max Charm stat for you." Ryder slightly chuckled, but his heart irrefutably fluttered, which was something he did not want to deny.

'Anyway, the night is long, so it's best to sort out everything for what's next.' Ryder thought, his mind swirled towards introspection.

If someone had to ask,

Is the Main Storyline of the Cosmic Nomenclatures only playable by those who accidentally triggered it?

The answer's a big NO.

For the convenience of the game players, even though it was an immersive and complex virtual reality, the Yandere Corporation set up [two] modes for the gameplay and sake of the user's experience.

The first mode was referred to as [Open World], while the second one was known as [Trial World], which could be switched one after the other during the neural link process when starting the game with the Pink Ecstasy Capsule.

The former or [Open World Mode] was the genuine World of Chuuni where the player could interact with other players and have their progress recognized and saved. However, the latter, or [Trial World Mode] was an access to the World of Chuuni but without the presence of any other players. This also would not affect the progression of the character even if the said player managed to finish all the missions under the particular Main Storyline.

What's more, the [Main Storyline] was not meant for one player to be cleared for the game world progression. After all, through the series of events, [Chain Quest] or those missions of significance closely related to the main story would be assigned to anybody, either randomly or prerogatively.

Furthermore, since the World of Chuuni was divided into the Four Powers, the nations of Humans, Elves, Foxes, and Vampires, each race had respective Main Storyline Missions, which also proved the genius of the Yandere Corporation since no matter the results of these intertwining quests that would create a worldwide impact, the game world would still inevitably progress based on the Yandere MILF CEO's grand design without any hindrance.

It was numerous paths to the unknown lay differently in correspond to the players' choices.

"I transmigrated to this world three months before the beginning of Awakened Chuuni Academy's classes." After recalling the game world progression under the series of updates, community forum discussions, and worldwide announcements that stirred the stock market from time to time, Ryder couldn't help but continue to assess his situation.

As far as his memory serves, the four inseparable branches of Main Storyline Missions would all trigger within the premises of the academy. But unexpectedly meeting one of the heroines caused the early trigger of one of the missions.

"I should dismiss the 'why' since I know it's pointless to ask when no answer will be given… On the other hand...' Sitting in front of the roof transparent tent, with a calming bonfire serving as the warm illumination, Ryder peeked inside for a moment. 'I wonder how I would handle her…?'

According to the seemingly inescapable fate of Princess Luna, the Main Storyline Mission titled [Blood Confidence] was about her gaining confidence in 'bed', no matter how absurd that sounds. It was because, at this point in time, she would be engaged to one of the Ducal Households' heirs of the Zenith Empire—the nation of Humans—who would also be an awakened student in the academy three months from now.

"Wait a damn minute…" Ryder, who gently closed the tent's curtain, muttered. "Don't tell me that's the reason for this head start before the classes begin…?"

His cursed [Title] that only affects Princess Luna 'gradually' and NOT instantly unlike Clara and the First Mission concerning the Vampire Princess' safety caused Ryder to realize what the seemingly Goddess of Identity wanted from him.

"So, should I make Princess Luna gradually fall in love with me…?" Ryder's voice filled the evening winds before taking a deep breath at the absurdity of his current predicament that spell impossibility.

'Am I being forced to take responsibility? Fucking hell...'

At that moment…

"Is that a challenge?" A familiar icy cold yet subtly warm voice flowed in his ears. However, before Ryder could react to Princess Luna who was supposed to be sleeping in this serene night, whose presence was something he did not notice, the latter's tender arms and supple hands locked him through his waist from behind.

Bite.

In less than ten seconds, when her adorable fangs penetrated his neck and upon being drained of his pure virgin blood, Ryder lost consciousness.

"Sleep well, pervert!"

It was then that a womanly figure donning a maid uniform appeared out of nowhere.

"Helene, is the vicinity safe?" Princess Luna casually asked her personal maid.

"Yes, Your Highness," Helene briefly responded while lowering her head.

"All right. Let's go. But before that, give this man the invitation."

Without questioning her wishes, Helene the Crimson Maid retrieved a black envelope from her own spatial storage, which she then placed on the sleeping man's chest.
