Klaus stared silently at Emily, who stood before him, deliberately maintaining a distance. The light at the end of the hallway was dim, but he could clearly discern her unyielding expression and questioning gaze.
She was suspicious of him.
The cries and pleas for mercy from behind him gradually dwindled and eventually faded into silence. Could it be that the valet had passed so soon? But he got what he deserved.
"Do you want to know what I just did with Gina in that room?" The corners of Klaus's mouth curled upward, and her suspicions annoyed him so much that he wouldn't tell her the truth outright unless she gave him some ground.
"Come closer." Klaus beckoned with his fingers.
Emily's eyes narrowed in confusion, but she complied, seeking an answer from Klaus.
