Suddenly from the narrow space came the sound of a brisk wind. A gleam of alertness flashed in the sorcerer's eyes, and a dark shadow quickly appeared behind him. The next second Dolly stretched out her arms with the rapidity of a fierce cheetah pouncing on its prey. Her hand was placed precisely on the sorcerer's neck, and the sound of the bone breaking was like the death knell of death.
The sorcerer's neck was twisted so violently that his expression, full of shock, froze for an instant, and his body fell heavily to the ground, like a mannequin that has lost its support.
"Are you okay? " Dolly asked.
"I'm fine. " Emily replied. She unconsciously rubbed her belly; Had it not been for Dolly's timely appearance, Emily could not have imagined the madness which the sorcerer would have wrought upon her and the infant within her.
"What's in here? " Dolly wrinkled her nose, "I smell blood."
