Emily was discharged from the hospital three days later. She decided to take her mother's ashes back to the countryside, so Klaus accompanied her, along with Marx and Dolly. But the car ran into problems halfway down the road.
"I told you not to go this way," Dolly accused Marx. "Those naughty kids always like to spread broken glass on this road, and now the tires are flat. It's all your fault."
"We went this way the last time we came," Marx retorted. "Why wasn't there broken glass on the road last time we were here?"
"It wasn't the same road we took last time," Dolly huffed. She pulled out her cell phone and checked the time. "Shit, we're not going to make it to dinner."
"Shut up if you're not going to help," Marx said, taking off his vest and walking to the trunk to get a spare tire.
