In the midst of silence and tranquility, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus—the three God-Kings—slowly opened their eyes once more. Throughout this entire time, they had maintained an aura of endless calm, as if everything that had transpired was already in the past.
However, this calmness was merely a façade. While everything could be debated, much had to be kept hidden. For a God-King, one could harbor endless ambition and desire, but it was crucial to remain composed. Otherwise, in the eyes of others, one would be nothing more than a jumping monkey, unworthy of surviving in this chaotic age of gods.
Zeus spoke calmly, "Hades, Poseidon, it's time to end this. We've spent enough time here."
Poseidon responded indifferently, "We should leave. But before we do, we need to claim the fruits of our victory."
"Agreed," Hades also replied calmly.
As the divine power of the three God-Kings surged, a rift gradually opened before them, forming a massive door. What lay beyond this door was unknown to anyone.
The Titan Vault!
Much like the treasures collected by Uranus in the past, Kronos also amassed many treasures, which was not surprising. Over their long lives, gods tend to collect vast amounts of rare and precious items. As the Titan God-King, Kronos naturally accumulated an immense collection. Though many of these treasures held little practical use for him, scattering them across the world was out of the question.
Thus, Kronos created the Titan Vault to store all these artifacts, waiting for the right time. This was the origin of the vault.
Hades spoke quietly, "We each take one-third of everything our father collected."
"Agreed."
"Very well."
The three gods exchanged glances and signed a contract, setting this decision in stone.
However, while the contract was signed and they agreed to each take a third, the question remained—who would enter first? The one who entered first would undoubtedly claim the most valuable resources, while those who entered later might not be as fortunate. At this moment, the three God-Kings fell silent once again.
Hades broke the silence, saying, "I will go first."
Poseidon and Zeus remained silent but could not object. In the Titanomachy, Hades' contributions were the greatest. Between Poseidon and Zeus, they could argue over who should go second or third, but the first position undeniably belonged to Hades.
"Agreed."
"Very well."
The two God-Kings nodded in agreement. Without hesitation, Hades stood and stepped into the Titan Vault.
As Hades' figure was swallowed by the vault, Poseidon and Zeus remained seated on their thrones, deep in thought about what they might obtain.
One-third!
Each God-King could take one-third of everything. Although Hades was powerful, he could not break the contract. This was a given. Without the power to defy the absolute divine power, the contract could not be violated. Even if Hades took his third, the remaining two-thirds still required careful consideration by the other two God-Kings.
Poseidon and Zeus exchanged glances, both pondering how to secure the second position.
Even though Poseidon's demeanor was typically cold and emotionless, as a God-King, he understood the importance of gathering more resources. Only by doing so could he realize his ambitions, whatever they may be.
Moreover, this was the Titan Vault, created by their invincible father, Kronos. The treasures stored here represented the entire wealth of the Titan Pantheon. The value of these countless treasures was self-evident, making it crucial to seize this opportunity.
For Hades, however, it mattered little what deals Poseidon and Zeus made. He would claim his third, and being the first to enter was only natural. From any perspective, Poseidon and Zeus knew they could not deny him this right. Hades would always be the first to enter.
"Poseidon," Zeus said, extending his hand. Divine power radiated from him, and a crystal appeared. "How about this?"
For the first time, a flicker of emotion crossed Poseidon's usually stoic face. Looking at the item in Zeus' hand, he replied calmly, "No wonder it disappeared from the seas. It ended up in your hands."
Zeus had grown up in the seas, and thus had acquired some things that he shouldn't have. These items were originally intended to restrain Poseidon, but given the current situation, Zeus knew that weakening Poseidon too much could be dangerous. If Hades became too powerful, it would spell trouble for both of them.
Thus, Zeus offered this divine artifact to help Poseidon regain his strength, maintaining the balance among them and ensuring he could enter the Titan Vault second.
"Agreed," Poseidon accepted the deal.
