"Hypnos?"
Thanatos noticed Hypnos pausing and asked curiously, "What's the matter?"
"The Dream Gods are about to be born," Hypnos replied softly.
"I see!" Thanatos nodded in understanding. As his closest twin brother, he was well aware of Hypnos's feelings toward the 3000 Dream Gods.
The 3000 Dream Gods were both brothers and sons to Hypnos.
Of course! It's important to note that this wasn't because Hypnos had some kind of improper relationship with their mother. The Dream Gods were simply born from strands of divine power that Hypnos nurtured over time.
Although, in the Greek pantheon, such mischief isn't uncommon—just look at the recent grand feast thrown by the new gods.
However, for Erebus and Nyx, the primordial couple, their love was genuine and deep, and they didn't engage in such chaotic behavior. After the birth of their youngest child, Eris, they decided not to have any more children. Now, Erebus and Nyx were contentedly waiting in the Realm of Darkness.
As primordial gods, their primary role had been more about torment. Now, seeing Hades, the god they had invested in, grow step by step, they were even contemplating moving the Realm of Darkness to the Underworld or perhaps even giving Hades their divine hearts so they could fully retire and enjoy a peaceful life.
As for whether Hades would succeed?
There was no doubt!
No hesitation! In the eyes of this primordial couple, once a decision was made, there was no turning back. Unlike some, who wavered and hesitated, they believed in pursuing a single path, no matter the cost. Even if it meant death, so be it.
Moreover! Hades was exceptional, as evidenced by the Titanomachy. Poseidon and Zeus may have had strong foundations, but compared to Hades? No joke!
Hades' foundation was far stronger. If pushed to his limits, Hades wouldn't hesitate to recover for millennia, pick up the Underworld Sword, and cut them down. That was the depth of his power. As for anything else? It was hardly worth mentioning!
Erebus and Nyx were seriously considering retiring entirely to the Underworld, only coming out for special battles. For everything else, they were no longer needed.
After all! Hestia was already in retirement. Look at Hestia, who spent her days doing nothing but eating snacks, reading novels, watching anime, and playing games. What else was she doing?
Hestia had turned into a complete recluse, much to Rhea's frustration. How could her eldest daughter have turned out like this? But! Rhea could do nothing about it. Hestia was simply like that, especially in recent times.
Even though Rhea was just a manifestation of time, she was gradually being influenced by Hestia and was starting to deviate herself!
But that's a story for another time.
Thanatos said softly, "Hypnos, let Lord Hades handle the Dream Gods. After all, their situation could be either significant or trivial, depending on how it's managed."
"I understand." Hypnos nodded. "Alright, let's get to work. We need to move the five Underworld Temples and all the faith crystals."
"Exactly!"
The twin gods resumed their work, carefully dismantling the Underworld Temples to avoid any damage before moving them to the Underworld. They also packed up the faith crystals and even conducted a thorough search of the Underworld before leaving.
No joke!
They were acting on behalf of Lord Hades, the ruler of the Underworld and the master of all things related to death. Even Tartarus wouldn't dare oppose Hades in this realm. As for confronting us? Do you think our parents are just for show?
As the twin gods departed, a shadowy figure appeared, murmuring, "Kronos' defeat... These two are like bandits, really. But at least everything is now on track, and I can finally rest."
The shadow of Tartarus disappeared without a trace. But! Is this supposed peace really what it seems? Sometimes, things aren't that simple!
Hypnos, Thanatos.
Aether, Hemera.
They all completed their tasks and left.
Heaven!
Ceres and Crises arrived, surveying the surroundings. Ceres asked softly, "Crises, are we all set?"
"No problem." Crises smiled. "Zeus's gods have left the heavens. Besides, we're not interested in anything else; we're just here to loot."
"Let's go!"
"Let's get started!"
Ceres and Crises began their operation. As for the gods left behind? They were no match for these two Titan Chiefs and were swiftly eliminated.
All resources and materials in the heavens were stripped away, down to the last blade of grass, even the very soil, and any remaining gods?
No mercy! They were slain and thrown into the Yellow Springs Hirasaka to serve as fertilizer. With no one guarding the heavens, these gods looted the place thoroughly, leaving nothing behind.
After leaving the heavens barren, Ceres and Crises smiled and opened the gate to the Underworld, leaving without a trace.
The Sea!
Eurynomos and Karsus arrived there.
But! Unlike the heavens, the sea was well-guarded. However! The two didn't act like Crises and Ceres, who swept through like locusts.
These two were more focused on finding islands sealed by barriers and formations. Once they located one, they wasted no time in opening a gate to the Underworld and swallowing it up.
Resistance?
Can't swallow it?
No problem! Chains of the demon star would spread out like an octopus, dragging it away without hesitation. It's safe to say that even before the Titanomachy ended, the Underworld had been laying its plans.
When the River Gods and Sea Goddesses finally realized something was wrong, Eurynomos and Karsus didn't get greedy. Whatever was left behind, they simply left. This was a risk-free operation, seizing the moment and opportunity to take as much as they could!
