The Earth Realm!
When Zeus returned and stepped into the temple, Hades and Poseidon both quietly watched him. For a moment, the atmosphere became oddly tense.
Zeus felt a surge of frustration. These two always had the same expression no matter the situation. What were they planning? What did they want? Zeus truly felt like cursing them out.
However, he maintained his composure and said calmly, "Hades, Poseidon, I discovered the God-King's Crown in the heavenly realm."
Hades and Poseidon seemed indifferent to this artifact that symbolized the authority of the god-king, remaining completely calm.
It was a bizarre feeling, as if this supreme artifact was mere trash to them, unworthy of any attention.
Forget it, Zeus thought, staying calm. After spending so much time with them, he knew better than to expect any different from these two. Engaging with them was a waste of time. At least he had informed them; what they chose to do was their own business. He couldn't be accused of keeping secrets.
Zeus sat on his throne and asked, "Hades, Poseidon, what is the situation in the earthly realm?"
Once again, silence was their response, until Euribia spoke up. "Lord Zeus, the war in the earthly realm remains at a stalemate. Without the involvement of you three, it is difficult for the new gods to face the Titan gods' onslaught."
Zeus nodded, not surprised. Without Hades, Poseidon, and himself taking action, defeating the Titans on the earthly realm was an impossible task. Under Kronos's command, the Titans had grown immensely powerful over countless ages. The new gods controlling even thirty percent of the battlefield was a testament to the strength of the three god-kings' subordinates.
The Twelve Titan Gods were special, but the Titan pantheon included many other deities at the Titan god level. The title of god-king was a significant marker, yet many deities could reach the Titan god level. In the future, a god-king might be nearly invincible, but in this era, Titan gods were abundant, strengthening the Titan pantheon significantly.
Zeus pondered for a moment. "Hades, Poseidon, what do you propose? Should we launch a full-scale attack on the earthly realm?"
Heaven, the Underworld, and the Sea Realm had already been conquered. The only thing left was the earthly realm. Once it was controlled, Kronos's power as the Titan god-king would be diminished to its lowest.
Each step was designed to weaken Kronos: reclaiming authority, killing the Twelve Titan Gods, and attacking the four realms. Rather than confronting their invincible father directly, these actions aimed to gradually erode his power.
These efforts were showing signs of success. But controlling everything was crucial.
Poseidon, ever calm, replied, "Directly joining the battlefield is not the best approach."
For Poseidon, a typically silent god, to say so much indicated the seriousness of his thoughts. In his view, a direct war would be a very inappropriate strategy.
Zeus frowned slightly. "Poseidon, why do you think so?"
Poseidon calmly explained, "You should know that in the heavenly realm there are fortresses like the Sky Temple. If all these fortresses are activated and the battle drags on, it will be problematic."
Zeus hesitated but nodded. If it hadn't been for Mnemosyne's betrayal, conquering the heavenly realm would have taken a very long time, a delay that could have been disastrous.
Poseidon continued, "Father is also buying time. For him, the Titan War is a means to weaken him to the extreme. But similarly, if he buys enough time, he can fully recover his peak strength."
The removal of the three great authorities, the deaths of the Twelve Titan Gods, and the loss of control over the four realms—all these, combined with Uranus's curse and the suppression of the mythological world, had left Kronos extremely weak. Yet, this weakness could lead to a resurgence.
If Kronos found an opportunity to break this stalemate, he could leap forward, regaining power and control over the mythological world. Any resistance would then become futile.
If Kronos could stabilize and further his strength, breaking free from his destiny, the possibilities were immense, even reaching the level of an Absolute God.
Zeus, eyebrows furrowed, asked sharply, "Poseidon, what do you suggest we do next?"
Zeus was acutely aware of his father's strength and the need for constant vigilance. Entering Mount Othrys and confronting Kronos was already an immense challenge. Delays only made it harder. Yet, wasting time here was equally problematic.
The current situation indeed seemed to be moving toward a stalemate.
