Chapter 169 - Chapter 169: The Death of Oceanus and Tethys, and the Complete Stabilization of the Sea Realm!

In the Sea Realm stood two of the twelve Titan Chief Gods: Oceanus, the God of Fresh Water, and Tethys, the Goddess of the Ocean. At this moment, the couple floated above the Sea Realm, facing a god dressed in sea-blue armor, holding a trident, and with long hair as beautiful as the Aegean Sea.

Poseidon said coldly, "Oceanus, Tethys, this is the end for both of you. It's over."

Poseidon's voice was icy and devoid of emotion, making it clear that his intent to kill was unmistakable.

Oceanus smiled calmly and said, "Poseidon, death is nothing we fear. Death is never the end for us."

"I know," Poseidon responded coldly. He was well aware that the twelve Titan Chief Gods could never truly die. Even in defeat and death, they could only be sealed as long as the Earth Goddess lived. True death was impossible for them.

Oceanus continued, "Since you understand, Poseidon, let's see if you can truly become the master of the Sea Realm. Can the Sea Realm be entrusted to you?"

Oceanus knew he was no match for Poseidon, but that didn't matter to him. Neither he nor Tethys feared death. Unlike the heavens, the underworld, or the mortal realm, the Sea Realm had never been deeply controlled by Kronos. Oceanus and Tethys were its rulers.

But now, it seemed that the ruler of the Sea Realm was about to change. They wanted to see if Poseidon could perfectly inherit and rule the Sea Realm.

Poseidon remained silent. He showed no reaction, merely shaking his trident. Massive waves surged, filled with the laws of the Sea King, enveloping the couple.

"It's not that easy," Tethys raised her hand, invoking a similar but distinct law. As the Goddess of the Ocean, she commanded the laws of the ocean, while Poseidon's Sea King Law was a composite law centered around the ocean.

For a moment, Tethys blocked Poseidon's attack. Poseidon, however, remained unmoved, showing no surprise or concern. Unlike Zeus, who might rage for the sake of face, Poseidon was calm. A failed strike was just a failure; he would simply strike again.

He casually swung his trident, sending forth even more terrifying waves of law. Under this immense power, the couple began to falter.

"Hmph!" The couple, now in their true forms, ignited their divine emblems, harnessing their Ultimate Power. Yet, even this was futile. The gap between a God-King and Titan Chief Gods was indescribable. As with Coeus, known as the Prophet, the outcome was the same: they were no match.

Under this absolute divine power, their defeat was inevitable. Oceanus and Tethys were quickly overwhelmed, nearing death.

"It's over," Poseidon said calmly. "Your future is uncertain to me, but you belong to our father, not to me."

Poseidon's voice was soft. He understood that if it were possible, he would prefer to keep Oceanus and Tethys alive. However, their lives belonged to the invincible Titan King, his father, and they could never follow him.

Thus, their deaths were the best outcome. The future was not his concern. Oceanus's body began to collapse, and he smiled, saying, "Poseidon, you will be an excellent Sea King. The Sea Realm is yours. But..."

Tethys continued, "Poseidon, beware. The King is never a weakling! Even after the divine war, you must face..."

The curtain fell on Oceanus and Tethys. Their words did not surprise Poseidon. He knew they referred to Hades. After the Titan War, Poseidon and his brothers would inevitably become the most significant adversaries. Despite his greedy brother, Zeus, the truly dangerous one was his rational elder brother, Hades.

Regardless, these were concerns for the future, not now. Poseidon collected their origin crystals and divine artifacts, setting them aside for later.

The future? That would be up to Zeus. If Zeus wanted to reap the benefits, he would have to pay the price. Nothing comes without effort.

"Next..." Poseidon mused, considering his next steps.

The Sea Realm had stabilized completely. Normally, Poseidon would immediately join the divine war in the mortal realm. However, he had another idea to test. He wanted to see if he could implement some changes in the Sea Realm, inspired by the Underworld's transformation after the battle with Hyperion.
