The speed of the Underworld Chariot was incredibly fast, after all, it was specifically crafted for traveling and possessed its own divine power among other attributes, making it distinct in various ways.
Very soon!
The Underworld Chariot once again entered the sea realm, arriving above the Heart of the Ocean. Coincidentally, as Hades returned, a chariot flashing with thunderbolts also raced over from the horizon.
"Hades!"
Hades heard the call and turned his head to see a chariot pulled by six thunder pegasuses, flashing with lightning. Just by looking at it, he knew whose chariot it was.
This chariot was excessively lavish. Although essentially the same type as the Underworld Chariot and comparable on various levels, the feeling it gave was starkly different: one was extremely luxurious, the other plain and unadorned.
This reflected Hades' personality. He wasn't particularly concerned with ostentation and naturally wouldn't reject a chariot his subordinates crafted for him. It was a normal thing.
This other chariot, however, gilded and adorned with silver, truly gave off a nouveau riche vibe. As for who its owner was?
"Zeus," Hades said quietly.
"Hades!"
The chariot came to a stop, and Zeus smiled, saying, "Long time no see. Did you retrieve your origin?"
Hades nodded, "I did."
Zeus smiled, seemingly indifferent to their past conflicts, chatting as if he were a social butterfly.
Hypnos and Thanatos, the Twin Gods, quietly observed everything, their gaze fixed on the two other gods on Zeus' chariot.
"Metis."
"Prometheus."
Hypnos thought to himself, "Two dangerous individuals."
Metis!
Prometheus!
In the mythical world, their names were well-known, even legendary. This wasn't an exaggeration. Their unique nature was shocking, making them extraordinary.
This was no joke. Their identities, statuses, and abilities were astonishing. Metis as the goddess of wisdom, and Prometheus, the god of foresight, known as the prophet—these titles alone highlighted their danger.
These gods were extremely dangerous. The Twin Gods knew well that although their current enemy was the Titan King, after defeating him, Zeus and Poseidon would become their greatest adversaries. Among them, Zeus seemed the most challenging and troublesome, evident from the allegiance of these two gods.
"Hypnos..."
"I know."
The Twin Gods communicated through their divine power, focusing their gaze on Prometheus. Compared to Metis, Prometheus was much more dangerous.
Prometheus, naturally aware of their attention, maintained a calm smile, seemingly unfazed.
At this moment, Zeus introduced, "Hades, this is Prometheus."
Hades silently nodded.
Prometheus slightly bowed, "Lord Hades, it's good to see you again."
Hades' expression remained calm, and Zeus, evidently aware of their past, also appeared indifferent. The Twin Gods were stunned; Hades and Prometheus already knew each other?
Moreover!
Hypnos wondered why Hades hadn't subdued or killed Prometheus if they had already met. Doing so would have eliminated many future troubles.
As for the impact on their own status if Prometheus joined the underworld? It didn't matter to the Twin Gods. They didn't care much about these things.
Each underworld god had a simple mindset because they saw endless potential in following Hades. Thus, internal conflicts seemed meaningless.
Such concerns were trivial. With Hades' glorious future, following him was what mattered most. Everything else was insignificant.
However, some things were unknown to the Twin Gods, so they couldn't understand Hades' thoughts.
Hades pondered briefly and said, "Prometheus, how are your preparations?"
"Hehehe~~~"
Prometheus smiled, "No need to worry, Lord Hades. I will discuss the remaining matters with Lord Zeus."
Hades glanced at Prometheus but said nothing more. The atmosphere grew silent and tense, as if something was brewing between them.
However!
Zeus, ever the social butterfly, managed to keep the conversation smooth and the atmosphere steady, showing no signs of trouble.
Despite this, the Twin Gods carefully considered Metis and Prometheus. Hades might not be concerned, but as his subordinates, they needed to be vigilant and thoughtful, leaving no room for carelessness.
Otherwise?
Who knew what might happen? Such matters required careful thought and consideration. Everything needed meticulous attention.
Similarly, Metis and Prometheus were thinking the same. Though the conversation seemed casual, there was an underlying current, with both sides contemplating the other's intentions.
