My alarm clock rang. Oh shit, it's already time to go. Now, where is my mask? I swear I put it on the bookshelf. Did it fall onto the floor? I crouched down and to my luck, it was indeed on the bookshelf floor. I went downstairs and found my Father still asleep. I don't have to eat toast today! How about some pancakes? I brought out the pan and made some ube pancakes to eat. We don't have any whipping cream at home so there was no whipped cream for me to use. I sat at the counter happily eating my pancakes. This tastes so good. I finished my pancakes and put them in the sink to wash them. After washing said dishes I put them on the rack and left.
I quickly grabbed my backpack and rushed out the door. As I stepped outside, the cool morning air hit my face. I took a deep breath and admired the quietness of the neighborhood. Walking down the street, I greeted a few neighbors out for their morning walk. I waved and exchanged pleasantries before heading towards the bus stop.
While waiting for the bus, I checked my phone for any new messages. My friend's text reminded me of our plans for the weekend. I replied quickly, confirming my availability. Just then, I spotted the bus in the distance. I gathered my things and stepped onto the bus, finding a seat by the window in the back of the bus. I sat there waiting for Alex, Lilly, and Jordan to come.
Just then a pretty girl sat down at the front. She was wearing a blue jacket and was a fox-variant. Could she be the new girl?
Alex and Jordan came onto the bus and joined me.
"Hey guys." I greeted them.
"How are ya doing?" Alex asked.
"Decent, what about you," I asked.
"Decent as well," Max answered. The bus suddenly came to a stop. This was Lilly's stop to get on. We all waited for her to come.
"You think she's late?" Jordan asked.
"As always," Max replied. It was a very normal thing for Lilly to be late for the bus, even the bus driver knew this.
Lilly burst onto the bus "Sory I'm late," She said the the bus driver
"No worries," the bus driver responded," You're earlier than normal."
"Ayy, there's Lilly," Jordan exclaimed. Lilly smiled, and I swear I saw her blush just a tad bit. She definitely likes him, no doubt.
"How are you Jordan?" Lilly asked Jordan.
"I'm d-doing good," Jordan responded. No one paid too much attention to the stutter but I think he likes Lilly. Why don't they get together, they'd be perfect.
The bus ride continued, and we chatted, laughing and discussing our plans for the weekend. Suddenly, the bus made an unexpected stop, and the driver announced that there was some issue with the engine. We had to wait for another bus to arrive and pick us up. While we waited, I noticed Lilly and Jordan engaging in a private conversation, smiling and laughing with each other. It was evident that there was a special connection between them.
As we boarded the new bus, I couldn't help but feel happy for them. I hope they realize their feelings for each other soon. The rest of the journey was uneventful, and we finally arrived at our destination. We bid farewell to the bus driver and made our way to school, looking at the hellhole of a school.
All the classes were as boring as normal, I sat at the back of the classroom and listened to the teachers arrogantly talking about their subjects. They all are so rude, I never liked any of them.
During 5th period my history teacher introduces a new student to the class. The girl stands in front of the class. She's the girl from the bus. She introduced herself "Hi, my name is Ezlynn. I have been to 1 other high school. I am excited to be a part of your school."
"Well, welcome to our class. You can sit next to that girl with the hood and the horns." The teacher said. I knew I was the only girl in class wearing a hood and the only girl who had horns. God damn-it. I thought I was hiding my horns.
The girl came and sat next to me. She turned and asked me "What's your name?"
"Harper, my name is Harper." I responded.
"That's a nice name, Harper. I like it." She remarked. I smiled. She knows I'm a demon-variant right?
