Near Levi's Apartment.
Vincent looked up from the ground at Levi's second-floor apartment.
"I hope you are asleep. So I do not need to waste my time after you." He jumped using his full strength, but making no sound. And reached the balcony of Levi's apartment very easily.
Right behind him.
"Lord Hans said only to kill Vincent if he tries to kill Levi, from the looks of it he is planning to do it. Sigh.. Vincent you could have lived a long life, Why do you need to resort to this." The man wearing a dark cloak sighed.
The man kept his distance, he had an eye-type talent called [Silver Eye] capable of seeing everything within a km if not obstructed. He was Lord Hans scout and a talented one at that.
"The dusty ridge city is in deep trouble from the demons' attack. If possible, I don't want to kill such a capable person. If he really strikes Levi when he gets near him, I will kill him. That way I wouldn't disobey Lord Hans's commands and in case Vincent doesn't kill Levi, Dusty Ridge will be able to have a potential helper when the city is in trouble." The man is a loyal citizen of Duty Ridge City to the end and chose to observe until Vincent makes the final decision.
Vincent had a talent called the [Shroud of Illusions] which had some affinity with the darkness and illusions. And it was a Silver Grade Talent that earned him some reputation when he awakened. Because his talent was related to darkness, he was specifically chosen to guard the gates of Shadow Woods.
Vincent if became a Tier 2 would be a renowned powerhouse of the Dusty Ridge city that is why the man hoped that Vincent would turn around. But Vincent had no intention to stop.
Vincent had already activated his shroud of illusions so that Levi would not notice him coming through the balcony.
"Why do you need to be awake? Just sleep already?" Vincent mumbled grumpily.
Suddenly Levi got up and went to his bedroom.
"Is this my lucky day or what?" Vincent laughed madly at Levi going to his bed.
"Sweet Dreams Levi." Levi said that to himself before burying under his blanket completely. It took 5 minutes for him to begin his snoring.
Normally Vincent would not wait long but he knew that if the Anderson family wanted to deal with Levi, they would kill him directly and not ask him to block him at the gates. So he took extra precaution in case Levi was keeping his power hidden, and waited for Levi to go into deep sleep.
"Please don't Vincent." The man who was sent by Hans was looking at Vincent and took out a bow and arrow after getting to a better position to shoot him, which was a signature weapon for people with eye talent to scout long distances. There was a window in Levi's bedroom that gave him the angle to hit Vincent's heart.
"I don't think you would be able to dream after today boy." Vincent already took out a dagger from his cloak. Pointing it towards Levi's throat to pierce it in a second motion.
"You have chosen your path Vincent, I already gave you plenty of time to turn a-. WHAT!?" The man had already nocked his bow ready to shoot, but before he could shoot, something he did not think of happened.
GOUGE.
SPURT.
The man looked at a dark shadow behind Vincent that had gouged Vincent's heart from behind him. Vincent's body was very strong for a Tier 1 Advance Grade especially his bones to be able to gouge out his heart like his body was some jelly was something only few peak Tier 1 or someone at Tier 2 could do.
The shadow retracted his hand with Vincent's heart, while Vincent puked blood turning around to see the one who had killed him. The shadow dipped inside the darkness only for more dark streaks to arise and transform into a human figure covered in dark, slowly revealing its face.
"YOU- But how-" before Vincent could finish, he had already lost his life, losing his heart.
"You don't deserve to know," Levi said as Vincent was soaked in his own warm blood puddle.

Levi was perplexed when he knew the one who came to assassinate him. He had not provoked this Captain who was guarding the gates, heck he did not even know his name. So why did this guy come after him?
The reason Levi was cautious of the captain was because he had sensed that the captain had something to do with dark-type skills or talent enabling him to sense darkness. Levi was afraid that his Shadow stealth would be discovered and he would be apprehended on the spot for bypassing the gates illegally.
This time when the captain came to assassinate he sensed that feeling again making him alert. He silently activated 7 seeds of strength when he reached his bed and used shadow stealth while he was covered in his blanket leaving his mirage clone in his stead and crept behind Vincent to assassinate the assassin as soon as Vincent took out the dagger from his cloak.
"I am already dead tired now I have to deal with the corpse of an assassin who came to kill me. I would have made some effort to deal with corpses if I was the one who killed them. Ughh, I want to sleep and now my bed is stained with blood…." Levi stood with his eyes closed before storing the corpse with its heart in the storage ring he had.
He changed the bed mattress got a new blanket and decided to sleep for now. He did not think someone else would come after a failed assassination attempt. Even if they did, it should be a Tier 2 and they were not vegetables that could be found everywhere and were stupid enough to accept a task to murder a Tier 1 Junior.
"Yawn, I am not wasting my energy with this. I will have a mansion to live in tomorrow."
'Come to think of it, I have never deconstructed a human, let's add it to the schedule for tomorrow.'
Levi went into a deep sleep. All while the archer perched on the opposite building looked at him from his bedroom window with his mouth wide open.
"What the f**k did I just see? Oh my god, I thought this kid was at least a Tier 1 Intermediate Grade, I was supposed to protect him? He doesn't even care that he killed the former captain of Shadow Woods gate's defense?" The man felt a headache when he thought of an 18-year-old kid piercing a Tier 1 Advance Grade body like piercing cardboard.
'Lord Hans did not seem interested in this incident. Well, the mission was successful, or should I say it was successful even without my intervention. Should I report this or let it go?' The man felt like he was in an awkward situation.
"Damn it, let's just report it to Lord Hans, the worst outcome would be being lectured for wasting Lord Hans's time. But I doubt this is something that Lord Hans would ignore." The man placed his bow on his shoulders and went to the City Hall, to report.

Tomorrow morning.
Levi's New Mansion.
"Home sweet home."
Levi smiled looking at his new home.
Levi's new mansion was very big, with many rooms and bathrooms, a swimming pool, garden, theatre, garage, and kitchen. Half of the things Levi was not even interested in but had bought it for his luxury. Levi was most interested in his bedroom, and the underground basement, especially the basement.
Levi did not like the fact that his house was destroyed every time he had a breakthrough. Normally this should not be a problem but Levi's Seeds of Strength manual created a very powerful storm that the room was not capable of handling. That is why he had waited to get his mansion ready and this special basement that was built to handle the destruction his breakthrough creates.
Levi took out all the Tier 1 Advance Grade Beast cores, essence liquid, and blood he had deconstructed for 2 days without taking a single break.
"If people know that I became a Tier 2 after a week of awakening, I wonder what their reaction would be?" Levi smiled at that thought.
Levi did not take out the corpses of the Tier 2 bear and the assassin. He wanted to save them for his experiments. He will only use the Tier 2 monster core if he is still not able to break through after using all of the Tier 1 cores.
The energy generated by the purified blood and core by deconstructing their affinity from them is very pure and strong. He doubted he would need the Tier 2 core for this.
"Alright, no time to waste." Levi got naked and prepared for the breakthrough.
