Synopsis

Chapter 1 - Satoshi Angel 01

Ahhh, Valentine's Day. A lovely day to go outside, see the couples out and about, doing what couples usually do on a swell occasion as this one. I see them walking together with their hands clasped upon one another, intertwined like stitches on a medical gauze over their hearts (probably due to arguments in the past, unbeknownst to my knowledge). I see lovebirds dining on fast-food resto stops in the streets, with an excessive amount of pink-to-red gradient objects as far as the eye can see.Roses and chocolates sure do sell like hotcakes at this time of the year, though that's a given, considering how much advertising is done in media....I know Tele-dramas like to showcase the dynamic of the rom-com duality of "will-they or won't-they?" tension throughout the characters, with their silly misunderstandings and slipping accidents. The pent-up build-up climaxes as the awaited scenario happens, where one of them goes and confesses and gives the other their chocolates (it's usually the female deuteragonist that gives chocolates, though it depends on the dynamic of the story). If the viewers are lucky, they get to see an epilogue on what happens after 'happy-ever-after'.I lost the point I'm getting at.There are a lot of people buying chocolates and bouquets, a sickeningly sweet--almost enough to cause you diabetes--amount. I hope the people making those products, localized or mass-produced, get a profit today.Sure feels like they're romanticizing this special day of Romance, I thought to myself.Though, I'm not one to dissuade against the crowd. I bought some myself, they're in my backpack. As that thought scoffs through my head, a little boy walks across the pedestrian walkway, holding a plethora of heart balloons (most were red, but there were a few varieties with the color), and giving them to the people walking on by.I started to question as to how this boy was carrying so many balloons without flying off-and I mean no exaggeration by this, but from afar, you would notice the large silhouette formed from the cluster of helium balloons than the boy carrying it all.Welp, that's enough rhetorical thinking for now.I walk on by, heading towards the destination I'm needed to.
