Chapter 342 - Surrogate Day

At the factory, 

Anastasia had been anxiously waiting for Julian's call. Two days had passed since she last saw him, the same two days since Avery and Eve arrived at the factory. Those two days felt like an eternity, stretching the silence that hung after Julian's promise to contact her with his plan. Every minute that passed without hearing from him only heightened her unease.

Anastasia was tempted to give him a call, but she turned off that idea and decided to listen to his instructions instead. 

For the past two days, Anastasia had been trying to keep away from Avery, but the latter always hung around her like a bee attracted to a sweet flower. 

Anastasia always kept the burner phone Julian had given her close. Leaving it in her closet was too risky—anyone could barge in, find it, and get her into serious trouble. Keeping it with her was the safest option, even if it meant living in constant fear of being caught.
